Baby has arrived!

What works this week

It's true what they say about babies continually changing things on you... and I don't just mean learning new things and doing new things.  From the beginning, Sage never liked sleeping in his cradle for daytime naps.  And over the last 4 months we have had many different stages where he will decide - yes, I will sleep in my cradle today, no I won't, I will sleep in your arms, no I won't, I will sleep in the cot, no I won't.. etc etc.

Thankfully nightime sleeps have always gone well.  But daytime naps have always been work.

Lately (and I don't know how long this will last) he will sleep in my bed for his daytime naps.  I am just going with it.  It is much better than the IN MY ARMS ONLY daytime naps he was doing a month or two ago.  So I am pretty happy.

I am getting more time to myself to well... tend to the house really.  But sometimes I get to sit down on the couch watch tv and eat a leisurely lunch, well as leisurely as they come.

I have given up on daytime showers, when Caleb gets home, dinner is done and baby in bed... then I shower.

All in all, and I think I continue to say this each entry, this are going well and I am VERY VER happy with my little son. x

PICTURES*
Hi all, I added some new pics of Sage, 4 months old!

4 months this week

Life with Sage has gotten much easier.

He cries less, is easier to read and has more content awake time.  I love taking care of him, hanging out with him and playing with him.  Heck, I just love him!

He is adorable, delightful and delicious.

Today he was sitting on my knee and I was bouncing us on our large exercise ball.  I felt him do an explosive poo and then I felt hot, baby poo running down my leg.  Those nappies are NOT leak proof.  Ahhh, we are just so close. ;)

New pics in album.

Swimming Baby

Sage has started swimming lessons!  Sooo cute.

Swimming is such a part of life here in QLD Australia that it seemed a natural and worthwhile thing for me to get him involved in.  I LOVE the water and the thought of playing with my chubby bubby in water sounded heavenly.

We had our orientation yesterday.  The pool is indoors and created purely for teaching babies and little kiddies to swim.  It is heated, both the pool and the air in the building, their is underwated music channeled through the pool.  There is a cot in the change room.  Nappy disposal bins everywhere and change tables, too!

The classes are quite small and mums and dads go in with their bubs, playing and doing exercises while singing rhymes.  Tomorrow is Sage's first formal lesson.  I am really looking forward to taking him twice a week.

Apparently they sleep really well after a class!!!  Which, is just a great big BONUS.

All in all, things are going really well.  We are gettting out and about alot more.  Are part of a Mother's Group and are generally just enjoying the days... and even the nights ;)
