Bon Jovi #2

Last weekend was a most excellent weekend!  Brad and I were really feeling couped up due to the crappy winter, so we were very excited to get out of the house to attend other events last weekend.  Brad went out with friends and I went to Chicago!  I was able to see my friend Mike and we had a nice lunch AND got to see some of the exhibits at the art museum.  I then met up with my mom, sis, and family friend at my favorite downtown hotel.  We went to the Cheesecake Factory for dinner and then went to see Bon Jovi!!!  We had so much fun.  The baby was very helpful in getting a seat at the restaurant!  On Sunday we had breakfast and then on my way home I met Lauren for lunch...who is now engaged!!  What a truly awesome weekend.  When I got home it was very nice since just in that little amount of time absence made the heart grow fonder.   A win win for all invovled.  BTW my sister noticed that I have put some extra padding on in the butt area but it's nice because I always had the family flat butt.  Brad said it's nice too because now my bony butt doesn't hurt him when I sit on his lap!

Nothing too much to update on the baby.  Still tired, have a runny nose, and am definitely growing out of shirts faster.  My skin is very dehydrated too.  Nothing too bad though that I can't handle right now.  My next doctor's appointment is Friday so I'll have more to report then.  We get to find out the sex of the baby soon too!!!!!!

I'm definitely more emotional these days.  I cried the other day b/c Brad said he didn't want to go see Riverdance with me.  The probem is that I never wanted to see it in the first place but I thought he did so I was going to go for him.  Very confusing!  Brad was also watching Green Mile the other night which is one of my favorite movies, but I ALWAYS cry.  He told me to go in the other room but I said I would be fine.  I cried through the whole ending!  It was a dep cry too where I had my head in my hands and I was sobbing....then I started laughing at myself because it is just too ridiculous!  lol  :)  At least these weird pregnancy things are kinda amusing.  And at least I've stopped drooling!

I'll write more after the doc appt!  Off to my Beatles concert!

Bon Jovi #1

Last night I went with Lindsey to the Bon Jovi concert in Milwaukee.  We had so much fun!  I did have to take little breaks here and there to rest my legs, but altogether it wasn't so bad.  My body was very tired after the show though!  We danced and sang along.  Unfortunately we had some fuddy duddies sitting next to us.  They didn't move a muscle or sing 1 song!  They should be banned from future concerts.

We warned everyone in our row that I might use the bathroom during the show and everyone was cool about it....except the fuddy duddies.  Luckily Lindsey knew the people at the end!  I made it through the whole concert without having to go though.  Yeah me!

Since the baby can hear now, Strawlet knows the lyrics to many Bon Jovi songs.  I kept giggling because I kept imagining the baby kicking me and saying 'turn that racket down out there!'.

On to my next Bon Jovi concert!  I'm leaving for Chicago tomorrow to meet my Mom, Sis, and friend Debby down there to go to the Chicago show.  Bon Jovi is so dreamy!

Baby Update

This blurb is from my new weekly pregnancy email I get from whattoexpect.com:

Listen up: Tiny bones in your fetus's ears are in place this week, making it likely that the baby can hear your voice when you're speaking (or singing in the shower). In fact, studies have found that babies who are sung to while they're in the womb recognize the same tune when it's sung to them after they are born (so choose your baby Muzak with that in mind…).

I have to learn some lullabies to sing....I don't think I know one all the way through anymore.  Of course I could always sing Bon Jovi....that way there will be more than 1 Bon fan in the house!

Cravings

I'm starting to have some cravings!  (Luckily I'm only still icked out about pasta/alfredo.)  I'm having two kinds of cravings.  One craving where I don't absolutely have to have something, but when I see something and think that it sounds good, it is REALLY good.  I craved a BLT from the Waunabowl last week and inhaled it when we finally made it there.  Pickles....milk....and root beer.  I got some root beer from the store (my fav:  Barqs) b/c I thought all root beer didn't have caffeine.  Of course the kind I got has caffeine and that was after I drank one!  I am now craving Barqs root beer.  I allow myself to have one once in awhile since I'm not really drinking coffee anymore and I don't eat too much chocolate.

Oh yeah, how is this for a story?  The other day I was CRAVING Taco Bell.  YUM!  This was during the day so I told myself that if it was snowing I would get some on the way home.  So at the end of the day I started to leave and the whole time I was thinking to myself -what was I going to do after work? What errand did I want to run?  Pregnancy brain was taking over!  The forgetfulness, clumsiness (like I needed help with this one), etc.  It wasn't until I was almost home and had passed all the taco bells that I remembered.  I forgot my own craving!  I couldn't believe it!  :)
