Baby has arrived!

2008-03-17  (18 weeks)
Monday, March 17th, 2008 (18 weeks)

We found out on the 4th that our baby is definitely a GIRL!!!!!!!! We decided to name her Avarie Janay Courville. My doc's office does ultrasounds at 16 weeks just to find out the sex for $75. Ross was shocked but has gotten used to the idea that Ansley will have a baby sister. I asked her what my belly was and she said a baby belly. I said I know but what is it and she said my little sister. She says her names is "Avry Courbill". lol Today was the first day that I felt my baby moving. I was sitting at work on the computer and I could feel the bubbles at my waistband.

Speaking of waistband, last doc's appt on Mar 11th, she said I gained 6 more lbs totaling 10 lbs. That is the same I was for Ansley at 17 weeks. I have got to slow down now. My belly looks so pregnant now at 18 weeks. I had to go and buy tons of new maternity clothes for work and a bathing suit for the summer. Jess, Richard, Parker and my mom came this weekend and we had a blast. I did a lot of walking in the mall which is what my doc prescribed. I go back to the doctor on April 8th at 3:00 when I am 21 weeks for my ultrasound and regular appt.

My friend Diana went to the doc last Friday to find out she is having a boy and they found 3 bubbles on the baby's brain and a spot on the heart. I am praying for her that it is nothing....they said 9 out of 10 times, that is the case. God Bless her and baby McDonald.

I made an appt today with my doctor's office to go in next Tuesday, March 4th, to find out the sex of the baby at 16 weeks. They will not be doing any testing or measuring but just telling us whether it is a boy or a girl. It cost $75 and they do not bill your insurance.

I am so excited to know so I can start figuring out what to do with all of Ansley's clothes and whether we need to start buying boy stuff.

I am feeling so much better I could climb the rooftops and shout it out! I only get nauseous if I haven't eaten in a while. My weight gain has slowed and I hope to keep it steady.

I went to the doctor last Tuesday when I was 13 weeks and we did the ultrascreen for the genetic testing and bloodwork. Ansley came with Ross and she got to see the baby on the monitor. The tech said she thinks it is a girl because of the bone. We will see. I had not gained any weight since last time so I am still at 4 lbs.

I have been craving salad, salad, and more salad! Also, fish filet sandwiches from Sonic and any bean and rice dishes.

Nothing that I hate eating except things very greasy like fried chicken or sausage gravy and rice.

2008-02-04  (12 weeks)
Monday, February 4, 2008 (12 weeks)

Whoa...today marks my 12 weeks. Hopefully only one more week of this horrible morning sickness. Ross and I packed all last week and moved into our house Friday and completely on Saturday. Yesterday, we threw a Superbowl party and I ate way too much greasy appetizer foods and got really sick last night.

I have been much sicker this past week and I am sure that this week won't be much better. I can't tell how much weight I have gained but I know at this point that it is more than I gained with Ansley at 12 weeks.
