Half Way!

Well, I’m finally half way there! It seems like it’s been a LONG time since I found out, but I hear this second half goes by much faster. We found out last week that we’re having a girl!  Her name will be Sierra June. Everything looked great on the ultrasound and all of mine and the baby’s measurements are right on target. Jeremy and I went and registered at Babys R Us which was both exciting and super overwhelming. It’s hard to know which of the 200 bottles to register for when it’s your first time.

I’m still throwing-up a few days a week, but it’s much better than it was, so I guess I can’t complain. Other than that, there’s not a whole lot going on. Look forward to seeing everyone March 15th (that’s our California baby shower, so mark your calendar’s because invites are going to be pretty late).

Excited

Only one week til we get to have our "big" ultrasound!!! I'm so stoked. Also, felt the baby move on Saturday and Monday! Looking forward to when it becomes more consistent and recognizable.

Hope everyone is doing well!

16 Week Updates

How am I feeling? I’m still experiencing some morning sickness and sudden urges to throw-up, but it’s nothing like before. Headaches have become less frequent and I’m feeling a bit more energized. I’ve been having some “stretching” like pain on the sides of my abdomen especially when I reach for something. It seriously feels like I just did the biggest ab workout the day before.  I got a prenatal yoga DVD in the mail, and am starting to get into that. It’s supposed to really benefit your “birthing experience”. We’ll see, I’m sure it will still be a pretty terrible/painful experience.
Eating Habits:
Other than being starving almost all the time, I haven’t really had any significant cravings other than my morning ration of Hot Tamales. I guess I have had more McDonalds Cheeseburgers than I ever thought I could eat (hey, it’s protein right?).

Baby Update: Yesterday was my 16 week baby appointment! The baby’s heartbeat is going strong at 148 BPM, and my uterus is measuring right where it’s supposed to be. I’ve only gained about 2-3 pounds which I was concerned about, but the Dr said “I should write that down and show it to you at the end of the pregnancy because you’ll laugh.”  Doctor also says that between now and 20 weeks I should be able to feel the baby moving (although I highly doubt I’ll have any clue that’s what’s happeningJ) The most exciting part is that we made our ultrasound appointment for February 13th and we’ll get to find out the sex of the baby!!! Start placing your bets now people!

15 Week Update

I'm now 15 weeks pregnant (YEAH second trimester!) and it already feels like I've been pregnant FOREVER. I'm still throwing up in the mornings, but am pretty much fine by 10 AM. Now, I've just been dealing with a horrible headache since January 4th. I'm taking Tylenol, but trying to limit it to once a day because even though they say it's ok, I'd really rather not take any drugs.

I'm still not really "showing" to the average onlooker, but I can tell there's more there. It's been sort of hard because I'm back to the phase where I'm thinking "hmmm is there really anything there?" I think it will be great to be noticeably showing and get to feel the baby move on a daily basis as a constant reminder that, Yes, there is something growing in my belly.

Anyway, just wanted to give an update. We go to the Dr again at the end of next week. Let's cross our fingers that he tells me we get another ultrasound to find out if it's a boy or girl:):):)
