You were born on:
Sunday June 29, 2008 at 8:30 am by c-section.
| |
You weighed:
8 lbs, 9 oz.
| |
And your length was:
20.5 inches
| |
After much thought, you were named:
Meighen Elizabeth Alana Richard
(Alana after my Dad and Ben's late stepfather Alan)
| |
The first thing I thought when I saw you was:
"omg, is she a boy?"
The nurses wrapped her in blue and when I came through from the anathethesia that's all I saw.

The hardest part of the delivery experience was:
All the tubes I had running from my body. That and the botched epidural - ever try having a catheter put in without any freezing? Not fun!
| |
The easiest part of the delivery experience was:
Recovery. Not sure why but somehow I recovered really well. I was up and about in a matter of days and by two weeks after surgery I was pretty much back to normal.
| |
What surprised me most about the delivery experience was:
Even though I was told I was surprised how long the induction was - 3 days!
| |
This is what happened the day you were born:
It was Gay Pride weekend in Toronto.
Cujo Signed on with the Leafs for another season.
Heatwave in Toronto.
| |
The big world events of the day were:
War in Afghanistan.
| |
What I can't wait to do with you:
Experience things for the first time through the eyes of a baby.
