Tomorrow, I'm leaving for Pennsylvania! Chris is already there because he was working at Indiantown Gap this week. He did, however, manage to squeeze in a day at Hershey Park, without me :( We'll be visiting a lot of our family and friends, since we both grew up in that area. I can't wait... I'm really excited to see everyone! We're also spending a couple nights at a Bed & Breakfast in Gettysburg and Valley Forge. We both love the history there, so we always try to visit when we're in town. Not to mention, Chris also gave in to spending some time at the King of Prussia Mall, which is the cherry on top of my excitement! There aren't a lot of attractions close to our house in Texas (unless we drive to Austin or San Antonio), so I'm taking advantage of this trip to PA. I love vacations!
On a baby note, when I lay on my back my belly is starting to protrude about 2 inches below my belly button. I have my own little mini basketball... well, its more like a golf ball at this point, but I was still excited about it! Within a week or two, my uterus should be unfolded to my naval. My pre-natal toning workouts are also starting to noticeably pay off. I have been doing 60-90 minute power walks everyday, as well as 40-minute pilates/yoga toning sessions 2-3 times a week. I just started the toning sessions 5-6 weeks ago, and my hip and lower back pain is completely gone. I feel fantastic! Second trimester is off to a good start :)

Daydreams I've found myself daydreaming quite a bit recently. I let my mind roam, wondering what our baby will look like, whose characteristics and personality traits he/she will inherit, what our new life as a family will be like, and what kind of parents we will be. For me, these daydreams draw a wide range of deeply intense emotions. With daydreams like these, I can only imagine the kind of indescribable love and joy we will experience when this baby is finally here in our arms ... I can only imagine! For now, I will remain content to daydream about little hands and little feet, soft baby skin, sleepy smiles, and soft coos. I'll leave out thoughts about stinky diapers and sleepless nights for now :) I love this journey!

Conversations with God
I found this and thought it was beautiful and heartwarming... Beware of the waterworks!
A Newborn's Conversation with God
A baby asked God, 'They tell me you are
sending me to earth tomorrow, but how am I going to
live there being so small and helpless?' God said,
'Your angel will be waiting for you and will take
care of you.'
The child further inquired, 'But tell me, here in
heaven I don't have to do anything but sing and
smile to be happy.' God said, 'Your angel will sing
for you and will also smile for you . And you will
feel your angel's love and be very happy.'
Again the child asked, 'And how am I going to be
able to understand when people talk to me if I don't
know the language?' God said, 'Your angel will tell
you the most beautiful and sweet words you will ever hear, and
with much patience and care, your angel will teach
you how to speak.'
'And what am I going to do when I want to talk to
you?' God said, 'Your angel will place your hands
together and will teach you how to pray.'
'Who will protect me?' God said, 'Your angel will
defend you even if it means risking its life.'
'But I will always be sad because I will not see
you anymore.' God said, 'Your angel will always
talk to you about Me and will teach you the way to
come back to Me, even though I will always be next
to you.'
At that moment there was much peace in Heaven, but
voices from Earth could be heard and the child
hurriedly asked, 'God, if I am to leave now, please
tell me my angel's name.'
God said, 'You will simply call her, 'Mom.'

Second Trimester!
I'm officially in my second trimester now! How exciting is that?! I had my 14 week appt today, and everything is progressing perfectly. Our little peanut has a heartbeat of 160 BPM, and is now about the size of a lemon. I can't wait until our ultrasound next month, its so exciting to be able to actually see the baby moving around. And what's even more exciting is that after Aug 18th, we should know if we are decorating in pink or blue! YAY! I guess we'll just have to be patient, but we're waiting on pins and needles! We're so excited to find out! Here is a little more on Baby Bean Frobuccino's developments:
Week 14: How your baby's growing
Your baby can now squint, frown, grimace, pee, and possibly suck his thumb! From head to bottom, he measures 3 1/2 inches and he weighs 1 1/2 ounces. By the end of this week, his arms will have grown to a length that's in proportion to the rest of his body. He's starting to develop an ultra-fine, downy covering of hair, called lanugo, all over his body. Your baby's liver starts making bile this week— a sign that it's doing its job right—and his spleen starts helping in the production of red blood cells. His kidneys are producing urine, which he releases into the amniotic fluid around him, a process he'll keep up until birth. Though you can't feel his tiny punches and kicks yet, your little pugilist's hands and feet (which now measure about 1/2 inch long) are more flexible and active.
