Week 38 Update I got the results of the Strep B test on Wednesday and I don't have it, so that's good. One less thing to worry about during labor. My docotr also said that Oct 1st is the cuttoff date. If Nathan hasn't come naturally by then, I'll be admitted to the hospital for inducing. It's scary and excitiing at the same time. I've had an increase in contractions and a ever present backache, I'm pretty tired alot at the moment and can get to feeling pretty yucky very quick. I hope he'll come on his own, but I am ready to see him and have the pregnancy over.
We have things just about done here at the house, but I need to get a few things done still. I have some washing to do and a good housecleaning yet to get done.
We thought that we were going to have problem with the crib we got. There was recall that affected the brand of crib we have. Our model number was not shown, but the problem of the recall was there, but in the course of finding out, we discovered we had the drop side of the crib installed wrong, so we were able to fix that. So we don't have to worry about replacing it or having to contact the compony for replacement help. That was a relief. But it did make us more aware of potential hazards.
Mom and I did our last chilbirth class on Thursday and even though we both learned alot, we are glad it's over. I actually knew alot of the info that was dicussed, but learning and practicing the breathing and relaxation techniques was good for me, I don't think I could have done it right if I had just read it and not seem it done. So it was worth it just for that.
I have my next doctor appointment on Wednesday, and hope fully I'll find out if I'm dilated and effaced. NST's are still going good, Nathan is doing excellantly.
That's all I have for now. (((Hugs))) |
