Welcome To My Pregnancy Journal! 

I've been wanting to write about my pregnancy and what's happened up to this point, so I can share with my friend's and family. I hope you enjoy looking at our pictures, and reading our little story.

Darren and I got married on May 18, 2002. We had a simple wedding and reception. The day was breezy and lovely. I often think back to our wedding day with joy and fond memories.

Our journey to becoming parents was unexpected. We had decided before we were married that we didn't want children. And if we did, it would be quite some time before we even thought about it. But a couple of years after we were married, several of my friends became pregnant, and it hit me bad. I did want to be a mommy. I cried about it alot, and my husband was very loving.

At the time we lived in a studio apartment, so having a family at that time was out of the question. We were on a tight income and couldn't afford to move. Then some friends of ours bought their first house and were leaving their small one bedroom house behind. We were recomended to the owners and they approved us for moving in.

Then the subject of starting a family came up again. We decided to wait 3 years after moving so we could be settled financially. I felt the urge very strongly still but realized the importance and very logical step of waiting. So I was very surprised, when, last year on our anniversarsy, my husband gave me a card that said let's start trying.

Now, here we are, just a couple weeks away from our Fifth Anniversary, 19 weeks pregnant with our first child.

We still live in a one bedroom house, and we still have a tight bugdet, but our child will not lack for all the love we can give!
