Making some adjustments I decided to alternate my fitness routine a little bit. I started to get some uncomfortable swelling and cramping after each running session and almost stopped completely. Not exercising made me miserable, since that is what I love doing.
It is so!!! great to be back on my bike. Even though it is now stationary in my room on the trainers, it is amazing how great you feel afterwards. I was able to do 11 mins on the bike and run a mile on the treadmill. My body felt great afterwards and I know this sounds crazy, but whenever I work out, my body produces all this extra energy which is addictive. :)
I'm also changing my nutrition a little. I crave chicken salad and fried pineapple. I made myself a big bowl of chicken salad with peppers, mayo and dill last night and are snacking on carrots.
I know this is boring, but I want to blog it so I can remember how I coped with the fatigue and maintained a healthy weight through this pregnancy. I'm hoping to stay healthy and not gain too much, since it really is a big factor post partum. You feel so much more energetic and happier when you don't have too much extra weight to "slug" around.
This baby seems to be bigger. He/She was lying VERY low last night. I placed Wouter's hand on my stomach so he can feel the bump of the baby. It is weird, we can FEEL the baby without mistake. It's almost like he is lying directly under my skin and not in the uterus!!!!
Hope everybody has a great weekend!!!!
Love,
Judy

18 Weeks Today My little Pumpkin!!!
I can not believe that we are already 18 weeks along! Time goes by so very fast. You seem to be very comfortable inside me at the moment because I don't feel you move too much. Sometimes I worry, but then I remember on the last scan I saw you that you were moving and I could not feel you moving. You looked so snuggly in there though. Ahhh, I can't wait to hold you and snuggle with you!!! I still wonder if you are a girl or a boy. I'm not sure what we saw on the ultrasound. It almost looked like you are a boy, but the doctor could not tell if that was the cord or you! LOL My little cross legged child! hehe. I'm carrying higher this time around that with Travis and that is why I though that you are a girl perhaps. But, I have no idea. We are completely prepared for you...if you are a boy or a girl. We are pretty sure on what your name is going to be, it just depend if you are going to be wearing skirts or pants....hehe. Ahhh, Mommy is excited to meet you.
We are preparing your brother for your arrival. He is very happy to pass his baby toys and clothes on to you and talks about it allot. He talks about how that is baby's bed and baby's toys and baby's swing. :) I think the two of you are going to have a lot of fun together. He is a very cool big brother to have and is very clear headed and very smart and I'm sure he will teach you lots of things. :)
Oh, before I forget...update on you and Mommy...
Your baby is approximately 6 inches/ 14.2 centimetres long from crown to rump and she weighs about 7 ounces/ 190 grams. Her chest moves up and down to mimic breathing but she's not taking in air, only amniotic fluid.
Mommy is doing good. Still emotional at times. I am showing now and my bump is growing at rapid speed. My weight is now at 119 lbs YIKES!!!!! Where is this going to go???
