19 weeks Today is Mother's Day and I am 19 weeks! I took some new belly pics and put them in the Photo Album. I had some full length shots but my face looks soo swollen right now; I'm too embarrassed to put them up. (I hope that goes away soon!) I called several daycare centers this week including the one at our church and they are all already full! They told me to call when I was 6 months so I thought I was early, not late....I'm trusting God though that He has the perfect person or place picked out for us that won't be full! We also made an appointment with the Pediatrician for this coming Thursday at 5:30. He comes highly reccomended by my manager and his office is close to our house, it is actually right across from the hospital. I have also pre registered for the hospital and am currently seeking affordable (HAHA!) health insurance for Brad and the baby. To add one or both of them to my policy through my job is the same price, over $500/month!! I'm NOT doing that and again am trusting God to help us! This past week went by soo slow! I have been TIRED and just want to hold the couch down when I get home now. I can't believe tomorrow is Monday again already! I had to work yesterday and then we have our Pool Party for the residents this coming Saturday and then the next Saturday is my Saturday to work again! After that, we are going on vacation for like 4 days back to Tybee Island; this time it will just be us and Sophie so we will have to find a place that's pet friendly. I'm really looking forward to that! Needless to say, we are both looking forward to NEXT Monday-our BIG ultrasound is scheduled for 3 pm!! I will have to come back to work afterwards though because my manager does not like for us to have time off on Mondays or Fridays.....But after work, we are going shopping!! Brad's mom is going to buy us the Secret Garden crib set and his sister is going to buy us a sage and white glider to match. I told them they didn't have to do that and I feel bad that they are, those things are not cheap!! We really appreciate them helping us out though! I registered for the mobile, clothes hamper and lamp to match. It seems like the pregnancy is zooming right along! Before we know it we will be holding our baby in our arms!!

Great vacation/Darn Fetal Heart monitor! We went to Tybee Island just off of Savannah, GA this weekend. The weather was sooo nice and we had a great time spending time with our family. We had never been on a family vacation before. Brad's mom, his stepdad, his sister and brother in law and our two nephews all went. We went out to eat at Paula Deen's restaurant in downtown Savannah too! It was delicious!! We got to see a whole other side to being a parent by watching how happy our nephews were and what a great time his sister and brother in law were having with them. They were very well behaved! Brad was soo sweet and told me how excited he was to have this baby on the way and how he was a little disappointed at first that it looked like it's a girl but that she would be "Daddy's Girl" and that he can't wait to take family vacations once the baby gets here and how much he was going to love her and that our relationship would always come first. I was just bawling! Another reason I bawled was because although I have picked up the baby's heartbeat nearly every time with that Bebe Sounds monitor, I could not find it at all this weekend. I wanted Brad's mom and sister to hear it sooo bad too! Well, needless to say, I got very worried and just kept praying, "God, please, please let me hear it just once" and for whatever reason it was not in His will to do that. So, I prayed and worried, worried and prayed....and this morning I made the embarrassing call to my OB's office and they had me come in to check. The NP found it immediately, said it was strong and healthy and in the 150's and my uterus is measuring right on track. I nearly cried right there! They told me not to use it again until I'm about 28 weeks and then she told me to bring it in and she would show me how to use it and how to tell what position the baby is in. I felt so bad but they were so nice and reassuring! When I called Brad's sister today she already knew I had been to the doctor! LOL! I asked if Brad told her and she said no, she and Brad's mom could just tell how upset I was. They tried so hard to help me feel better; they are so sweet! Just two weeks from today we go for our 20 week ultrasound!

17 weeks I am now 17 weeks, 3 days! This Sunday I will be 5 months!! I can definitely tell the bump has grown over the past week! I am sure I am feeling the baby move now too!! It started over the weekend. I bought new maternity clothes over the weekend and my sister in law lent me some of her clothes too so I am set for a little while there. My sis in law also lent us their Bebe Sounds prenatal monitor and we have been able to pick up the heartbeat a few times! My doctor said it would be hard to find with one of the store bought ones at this point and he was right-it took awhile! The baby was at the bottom of my tummy and I was looking right under my belly button.....We are going to Tybee Island this weekend with Brad's mom and her husband, his sister and our brother in law and our nephews. We are going to spend Saturday on the beach and then eat at Paula Deen's restaurnt Sunday. We have been needing a break so I hope to get in some R&R! The only bad thing is that we can take Sophie. We have not EVER been without her and will have to board her for the first time! I can't imagine how we will feel about having to leave our baby at daycare if we are this torn up over our four legged child! On a lighter note, I have spoken with the photographer who did our wedding and also did some modeling pics of me about doing a pregnancy shoot in August. I have to be at work early so we are about to turn in, until next time!

16 weeks Dr. Appt./New Belly pics We had our thrid doctor's appointment today. We got to hear the baby's heartbeat!! It was 140-141 bpm which the doctor said was right in the middle of normal and that it sounded like a good, strong, healthy heartbeat for 16 weeks. My weight gain, urine and blood pressure were great and I assume I am measuring on track because after he measured me, he did not say anything.....just that everything looked great.....A lot has gone on this past week but it is mainly work stuff (read:DRAMA)!! I was in a "Marketing to Today's Renter" seminar this morning for about 3 hours and did not bring my yogert or string cheese and felt really light headed...I had to eat some of the 100 calorie Oreo crisp's they had out for us..... I learned a lot though and look forward to putting a lot of the ideas into action at work soon. We go back on May 19 at 3 for the anatomy scan and then we will know if it is a girl for sure!! There is a place not too far from our area that does the 3D/4D ultrasounds and I REALLY want to go to them in another 2 weeks and find out early!! We are still debating.... I posted new belly pics, I'm starting to see a difference.....It is soo strange that some days I really look pregnant and others I don't.....One of my former residents told me at the gym the other day that it just looks like I did a couple "keggers" over the weekend...not sure how I was supposed to take that one...LOL!! Not much else to report.....God Bless, until next time-Katie, Brad and Baby
