Brianna had her 2 month appointment January 19th. She has gained so much!! She is now 12.8 pounds and grew another whole inch to 23". She just keeps packing on the weight!! She also had to get her first shot, Tetanus, Polio and Hepatitis B. Wow that sucked. I though I was going to cry. She puckered her lips up and they started quivering and then she screamed. She calmed down quickly though. Although she wanted to eat then so the screaming started again until we got home. She ran a low fever all night and throughout the next day but she was fine otherwise.
She is always so alert now and follows you wherever you go with her eyes. She babbles and coos constantly and I sometimes feel like she is actually "talking" back to me. She is starting to hold her head up for longer periods of time by herself and loves to play on her playmat. Some nights are still better than others sleeping wise. No such luck of a routine yet. She has also finally found her thumb instead of her whole fist, although she still likes her fist. She gets frustrated when she can't figure out where her thumb went when she clenches her fist.
I couldn't ask for a more perfet baby!!! As for me, I am finally back at the gym. Have been going for about 2 weeks now so hopefully I can start going to my regular clothes. Although it seems like I will never wear a 4 again....

Wow, 2 Months...
I can hardly believe that my little babydoll is just about 2 months old already! Time really is flying by. Everyday Brianna seems different to me in some way. Especially now since I am back to work. The first day back was very hard after being with her everyday all day. But luckily my Mom is able to stay with her when we leave for work so I don't worry that she is being taken care of. I also like that she gets to have that bonding time with Grandma, since we will be moving down South in only 5 more months. When I get home from work, she instantly smiles at me, which makes me feel like she missed me all day like I have missed her. She is getting so big now and I have had to start putting away clothes she has grown out of. Next Friday is her doc appt so we will see just how big she is then!
Brianna looks like a little person to me now, not so much a baby anymore. She has the most gorgeous thick eyelashes just like her Daddy so she will never have to wear mascara! She is getting stronger in her neck and can hold her head up for short periods of time before shaking her head down toward her chest. She smiles all the time and is a real talker. When I get ready in the morning, she sits in her bouncer and talks to me. When I talk to her, she responds with her babbles and coos. I can't wait to hear real words!! She just started in the past week or so to try and suck her thumb, although it is too cute because she can't grasp the concept of sticking your thumb out and closing the other fingers, so she says F*** it, and shoves her whole fist in her mouth! I keep practicing it with her so soon she will get it. Brianna is going to be crawling in no time. When she is on her stomach, she can move from one end of the area to the other in no time. She hasn't quite learned to move her arms as she goes though, they stay behind for now. But her legs go a mile a minute and are so strong when they push off of my hands. She hasn't yet slept through the night, making work torture, but she has her good and bad nights. Last night, she fell asleep at 10:30 and woke at 4:15, so I got an amazing 6 hours. Funny how sleep means so much more to me now. Just the other day I was telling Bobby how I couldn't wait for Saturday to get here so I could take a nap.

My One Month Old
Our baby girl turned one month old this past Friday and I can't believe it! The time is flying right by. I can tell how much she changes both physically and psychologically every single day. We went for her one month well baby doctor visit and she gained a whole 2 POUNDS from her one week visit, bringing her new weight total to 10 pounds!! The doc said that is great and she is a very healthy baby! I asked him if she should be gaining that much (I don't want her to be the fat kid...) and he said yes, and laughed and said there is no need for a diet yet!! She is now so alert and knows my voice and me. If someone else is holding her, she will look around to see where I am at and when I talk, she will look towards where my voice is coming from. She is starting to make lots of new noises and sounds, realizing that she has those vocal cords! I only wish she would start to sleep more at night. Some nights are better than others, where she will sleep for 5 hours or more at a time. She is now loving her bouncer seat to sleep in. She definitely loves her Daddy too and likes to sleep on his chest on the couch. It is amazing how much you can love someone you have only known for a month..
