I almost forgot to update that Erik and I bought a new crib last week!  I just added a picture so you could see.

It isn't our first choice, but you learn to improvise when you have the 2nd baby...everything is expensive!  We wanted something that would match our old dresser, because we wanted to use that dresser instead of buying a new one.  I think we did pretty good.  It matches pretty well :)

Now I just need to get my order from JC Penney and I will be set :)

I finally feel like we are starting to be at the end of our pregnancy journey now.  I feel good, although I feel huge!

Today I had a dr. appt.  Nothing too new to report.  He did not check to see if I was dialated so I was bummed about that.  He did do the Group B strep test but that was all.  I measure at 35 cm and the baby's heart rate is 140.  I have gained 23 pounds so far.

So that's about it!   My doctor is out all next week, so hopefully I do not go into labor next week!  He is going to check to see if I am dialated at all at my 38 week visit.

He thinks the baby is down as much as he will drop and doesn't think the baby will be "too big"...I am wishful thinking that he is right.  He is also very impressed with my lack of swelling.  I am too, I hope that it stays this way til the end :)

Happy 35 weeks to us!  Baby Carter is almost here!  Another month and hopefully we will be seeing his beautiful face.

Carter is moving around so much still...although the space is getting tight for him.  He is jabbing me every chance he can get.  I see my stomach do big rolls now - it is quite entertaining to sit and watch  - Every so often I get a kick or jab up into my ribs that takes my breath away...he's already very strong!

I feel great.  Although it has been hot and humid, I have done very well with the heat so far.  I have gained 21 pounds total, and no swelling yet.  I did have some swelling on Sunday after our walk around the neighborhood, but it went down overnight. 

Erik and I are finally going to look at cribs this weekend - since we both have a long holiday weekend my list of things to do is very long :)  I also plan to pull out all of our bottles, bouncy chairs, and toys and wash them up for the new baby.  It seems like it is still too soon to do that, but I figured I might as well get it done while I have some time off of work.

Nothing else is new really - just doing summer activities and spending time with family and friends.  Gotta love that!  I'll update more next week after my dr. appt~!

p.s. my dad's biopsy came back cancer-free!  Let's hope the cancer stops here for good!

Well my dad (Grandpa Nelson) had his surgery to remove his prostate yesterday.  After a long day of waiting for us- he got out of recovery and in to his room and we were able to see him.

He was very groggy and in a lot of pain, but the surgery went well, and we will find out the biopsy results tomorrow.  We're praying for no more cancer!!!

My family (me erik and cam) will be visiting him again tomorrow afternoon...I'm sure Cam will cheer him up.
