2008-07-09 (12 weeks)

Results of the CVS
7-9-08--Ahhhh...I found out yesterday that the baby does not have T13, T18 or T21. We were so relieved. I was a bundle of nerves until I heard this news. Plus....We're having a BOY!!!!

2008-07-03 (11 weeks)

The CVS
Today we went to North Shore Hospital to have the CVS done. We started the morning at the Genetic Center. Wemet with the counselor who reviewed our medical history. The we spoke with the genetic doctor. That took over an hour. After these discussions, they sent us to the hospital for the procedure.

2008-06-04 (7 weeks)

Hearing the Heartbeat

6-4-08--Today we went back to the West Islip office for repeat blood work and a sonogram. We spoke to Dr. Pena about the lower progesterone rate and he didn't seem concerned. He said he would review my blood work today and see what happens. He said they might try to get me off the progesterone if the number stays the same. If it does, this might be our last visit. Today we got to heart the heartbeat with the vaginal ultrasound. It was amazing! The blood results showed that the progesterone level went down again to a 15.8. They will keep me as a patient one more week to see what happens with the progesterone level.

6-11-08-My progesterone level was 25! I "graduate" from the fertility doctor. So, they did keep me longer than usual because of my progesterone rate but it was well worth the wait. They want me to follow up with my regular OB.
