Are those monkey bars?

Yesterday Jacob found the most fun activity .... MONKEY BARS!

Well ... they weren't actually monkey bars ... they were my ribs.  He's finally found my ribs and I think he likes hanging from them or something.   He was up under my ribs on my right side for most of the day yesterday.  That really makes breathing enjoyable!

My little guy keeps getting hiccups too.  He had them last night and he has them again right now as I'm typing.  I love it when he gets hiccups.  It's so cute.  I probably won't think it's so cute when he has the hiccups out in the real world and it ticks him off and he cries.  So I've got to enjoy it while I can.

Tomorrow is our final child birth preparation class.  We get to tour the hospital tomorrow, so I'm looking forward to that!

First Child Birth Class

Michael and I attended our first child birth class this weekend and it went REALLY well.  I was really pleased with Michael.  I was afraid maybe he wouldn't pay a lot of attention since he already has a child, but he was very good.  He paid attention, asked a couple questions, and, in true Michael style, entertained the class with his messed up sense of humor!

Class was 4 hours long and we watched a video about the stages of labor and how to deal with the pain during each stage.  We talked about a few breathing techniques and they taught the husbands some different massage techniques to help make the mommies comfortable.  They were really GREAT and I'm hoping they're still effective on me when I'm in labor because I anticipate that they will really relax me.

Last night Michael and his dad put Jacob's dresser together.  The plan was that they would put the dresser AND the crib together, but they didn't quite make it that far.  The dresser took FOREVER.  But it is so beautiful!  I really like it.  Mikey will get the crib built today and I can't wait to get Jacob's bedding it it.  By the time he actually sleeps in his crib, I'll have to pull the linens off and wash them again, but at least it will be fun to go into his room and see his little crib all decorated.

FREE to a good home ...

One totally inefficient bladder!

Okay ... so I understand the fact that when you're pregnant, you pee a lot.  That's fine.  What I don't understand is if you need to pee so bad, why can't you completely empty your bladder!?  It is so frustrating to get out of bed every 2 - 3 hours at night to pee and to not be able to empty your bladder entirely.  I can finish peeing and as soon as I get back in bed, I still feel like I could pee some more!  It's a freaky, and frustrating, phenomenon.

Too much information?  PROBABLY, but I feel better now that it's off my chest!

I found this cartoon on a pregnancy web site ... boy is it true!
