Week 31 Doctor Appointment

Yesterday I had my 31 week doctor appointment.  Nothing too exciting to report from it.  The doctor says everything is looking good and that Jacob seems to be just the right size.  She gave me my rogam shot (ouch)  and then rescheduled me for TWO WEEKS from now!   Yep, I'm making progress ... I'm now scheduled every TWO WEEKS!  Jacob's going to be here before I know it!

Jacob's furniture came in yesterday!!  I was so excited!  We received his crib and his 5-drawer dresser.  I was a little surprised to find that the dresser is not assembled yet.  So Mikey and his brother have a decent amount of work to do this weekend to get everything put together.  I can't wait to see his furniture put together and get his room set up!  It's going to be so stinkin' cute!

Saturday Mikey and I will be attending our first childbirth class.  I'm anxious to see how that goes.  Also, the doctor said I should go sometime soon and pre-register at the hospital.  It's going to be busy, busy, busy from here on out!

Well, I'll probably update Saturday after our class ... or maybe Sunday when the furniture is done.  Until then, I guess that's it!

More Hiccups
Jacob had the hiccups last night and this time Michael and Nicole both got to feel it.  It was so cute.  He didn't seem to get ticked off about it this time ~ there was no kicking or moving around ... just the cute rythmic pattern of his hiccups.  Michael thought it was pretty cool.  He felt it for quite a while.  Colie said it felt like he was kicking.  I can't wait to get this little guy out into the real world and play with him and watch his cute little hiccups in person.

30 Week Ultrasound

Today I had my 30 week ultrasound.  As usual, it was so much fun and so reassuring.  It's always nice to see Jacob and to see his little heart beating strong and see him moving around in there.

He's currently 3 pounds and 11 ounces.  They say that's about a 31 week measurement, so he's pretty close to where he should be.  One scary thing for me though is that his head measures in the 80th percentile!  The technician said he won't be wearing any newborn hats.  LOL   His daddy has a fairly large head, so I guess I should have seen that coming.  His heart rate was like 133.  That's also good.

His big sister finally got to go see him today too.  She seemed to enjoy seeing him.  He FINALLY let us see his face!!  (See the photo album).  His little face is so stinkin' cute!  I can't wait to kiss those chubby little cheeks!

Starting to get uncomfortable

Well, I'm finally hitting that stage in my pregnancy where I'm starting to get uncomfortable.  It seems like Jacob is growing or stretching out in there and taking up more room.  I feel kind of bloated a lot and definately can't eat as much anymore.  Sometimes I kind of feel pain in my lower abdomen like he's pushing down on my pelvis or something.  It's hard to describe, but it's the first time really that I've been uncomfortable during this pregnancy.  And I still have a little over 2 months to go!  This could get ugly. LOL

So I did the math and I have 74 days until my due date!  WOW!  That's coming really quickly.  Michael bought me a mother's ring for Christmas with Jacob, Colie, Mike and my birthstones in it.  Now Jacob definately has to wait until March to arrive!

I guess that's about it for now.  I go for another ultrasound next week (Tuesday, Jan. 2nd), so I'll have new ultrasound pics then.
