Mommy2Flutters     My journal

I'm glad that someone else is as entertained as I am at watching our little ones roll around...haha. I could sit and watch for hours if my body would let me and if they continued to move for that long. Playing with them is fun (when you poke back and they continue to poke back too).

My kicks and punches that I'm receiving are getting to be interesting, very strong and you can definitely see things like elbows on the outside now...haha. I guess it's from the lack of room that they both have. I woke up the other night and one of the little ones was obviously trying to travel to snuggle with his brother because he was bulging right underneath my belly button. It scared me and I just helped him back to his own side...haha.

They're doing well though, growing in size and such. As for your comments on a natural birth, I'm sure you can do it Dee! You're a strong one and I believe in you. I just wish we could all get together after and visit with all our new babies. It's definitely going to be tough to wait to see everyone and their little ones. I'm going to see if John will take more pictures tonight or tomorrow so that you can see how big we're getting. Can't wait to see yours.

See you!

Dee (yeah, me)
In response to Kits questions...

You have gest. diabetes? Or is that what they're testing for?
- Just testing for it. It's something that's routinely done at 26 weeks (if you're under a doctor). (I'll tell you how it went in my next post, kinda a mix-up).

So which hospital are you planning on having the babe?
- Three HIlls :)

Why don't they "guarantee" epidurals?
- They'll only administer an epidural if two specific doctors are available. Epidurals often increase the % of c-sections, so they need to be sure the surgeon and anesthesiologist (sp??) are both on hand. So, mentally I'm trying to prep' myself to go without. For me, that would be good.

You seriously are not that big. Maybe I should take a pic of myself to show you.
- Haha, I'll post new pics soon. I'm not as big as some (meausing about a week or 2 behind) but on my short torso it's big enogh. I like it though, the belly is definitly cute at this stage :)

I might have to resort to sweatshirts and Sam's t-shirts. Yuck.
- Hahaha! Nice!

yeah, I thought our due dates were closer too. Well, my due date is still july 4th. and yours is when again? I'm kinda thinking I'll be early, so in that case we would be closer. last time I was 10 days early! i dont' know if that was divine intervention or just the way my body rolls. and don't you think that i'm huge next to you? especially since i'm 2 weeks behind you? last night even sam was like, "you're so big this time!!! do you think you have an excess of amniotic fluid?" ha ha. no. i think my skin, muscles and organs aren't pre-baby tight anymore, and they're all taking their stations early to make room for baby. :)

Hi Deanna!

I am really enjoying your pregnancy news! Just wish I could be there to feel your little one moving with my own hands!! You look fantastic in your pictures...radiant and fit! Your body will take little growing spurts quite randomly on it's own accord. Who knows, maybe just doing a bit of "catch up" from being down with the flu???  It's really hard to NOT be sensitive about your weight when it is pretty well what everyone focusses on.....you know..."you look great", "how much have you gained", "oh, just wait YOU'LL GET BIGGER!" etc. etc., Truly, the worst thing to hear, would be that you are NOT gaining..you are working hard to give your baby the best start and weight gain is part of the equation!  Gotta tell ya, you are one determined chick! Happy Easter! miss you..............

Hey you guys... Thanks for calling. I did try to eventually call back, when I was able to locate your number but when Dee called, the number didn't register on the phone so I was struggling to find it somewhere.

Debbi finally gave it to me...haha. Anyways, yes, we're very excited about boys. The great thing is that when we all get together, the boys will all be around the same age and hopefully they'll have similar interests. =) John figures it would be fun if we could have a whole family baseball team...haha.

Anywho, I just wanted to drop a line saying 'Thanks' and that we can't wait to see everyone together again as a family. Take care of you two and your little one, we'll talk soon.

Shelbi
