you're such a great writer dee!! I appreciate your blogs (here and xanga) so much. I'm so glad that you've enjoyed your pregnancy even with all the hiccups along the way, it really is such an amazing gift we have been given by God. I can't (but will) wait to experience it again! You are so so close to holding your little man in your arms, I'm very excited for you. And I can't wait to hold him myself! Oh, and I made Shawn do the massaging, I couldn't do it myself. My midwife also massaged with oils and such at the delivery, but I still needed a little cut, so I guess it didn't work for me:(
Hey pregnant girl! Wow, you are so close to popping! :) Wow that sucks that your ankles and such are getting all swollen! Is there anything you can do about it except just stay off your feet? Are you going to be early??? Who knows?? From what I read there doesn't seem to be any way to tell except to judge by whether your mom was early or not. But also I kinda wonder if being really active towards the end of your pregnancy (and having a lot of sex ;) ) brings the baby quicker. Keith's mom said she'd go for a horse ride when she was ready to have her baby. So cool if he's dropped now though, cuz that means he's in place, ready for launch. :)

You know, the day before I had Hannah they did a ultrasound and gestimated 7 pounds, "give or take a pound" and she was 9.1 so you know, who knows:)
Dana
I know with Katherine (Miller-Woodbeck remember?) they estimated with a late ultrasound that Caleb would be around 7 pounds and three weeks later (I could be getting this a little off, don't quote me) he came out at 5. 13. so, I don't know. My midwives wouldn't even give me a ballpark, Carson was WAY bigger than I thought he would be....
Also, I know I've said it before, but I'll say it again....you'll probably just end up beating yourself up if you think you're going to go early!! In reality only a small number (I think it's even under 10 %) go into labour before there due dates. You're just better off to expect an overdue baby. I know that sounds super depressing, and you can take it or leave it but, just thought I'd let you know my thoughts :)

Wear flip-flops!! My mom got really swollen feet when she was pregnant with Chad, but that was October in Three Hills, but she still wore flip-flops in the snow. And she wore them to the Tab, which, back then was very looked down upon, haha! RE:your questions, I've heard of the US weight estimates being off by a pound either way sometimes, I don't think they're super reliable. But my midwife was able to just feel my belly at my 39 week appt. (5 days before he was born) and guessed 7-7.5 and he was 7lbs 5oz. I was pretty impressed with that!! AND I don't know whether you'll go early or not, odds are with this being your first, no. But I took Dana's advice to heart about expecting to go late, and I was not anxious or impatient at all in those last couple weeks unlike some other friends of mine. And I was pleasantly surprised to have him a day early! And it's much better to have a baby at 40 weeks than 37 or even 38 weeks. They tend to not have as many feeding and sleeping issues. Just my 2 cents!

Your body will tell you what it needs and if it needs food, obey your hunger. You look great and you've done so well dealing with GD. I definately found that rest the month before the baby was so useful in recovering. I agree with Dane, it's your uterus that does the work. I was a big whiney wimp the end of my pregnancy and didn't do much and I pumped her out in under half an hour so who knows.
Hey! Thanks for all your positive words. Things are going great, I just can't wait to have the babies at home and to start our life in the right path. Not that we all haven't started our little family and our life together, but it's hard to do when they're still at the hospital while we're at home.
You sound like you're doing wonderful as well. Keep up the good work, you're almost there! It's a wonderful experience and although we've both been through quite a bit, I know you can do it. You're going to be a great mommy!
The number that you have is our house number, neither John or I have cell phones right now. John has never had a cell phone...haha. You should leave us a message next time you call...or actually, let me try giving you a call with the number you left for us on facebook. I'll do that right now...haha.
