Hey Dee... Keith & I just watched a DadLabs video about diaper pails. Not really sure how accurate it is since it's sort of a spoof, but you might find it funny if not informative. :) www.dadlabs.com
Sista' in law---Joyous

The clothe diaper thing sounds like it's a lot of work. I'll stick with the regular diapers like huggies.  My sister gave me a tip about them, only use diaper wipes when it's poopie and  just dry the bum (or that area)  with a cloth when it's peepee so baby won't get diaper rash.

Um, about the pain I think it's different for everyone.

Love you sis. Take care always.

I figured that I would go with a garbage can like Sades is doing too and the little bag in the diaper bag. I feel like all the diaper pail products aren't really worth the money. Oh and I think maybe we don't talk about the pains down under etc because isn't really something that comes up unless someone asks. I don't tend to talk about most of my body parts with folks on a regular basis, not that I mind to , I just don't think to. Plus there is a lot of things to cover, weird and unexpected details, lots of them being things many women experience while others only a few.:)

I had pains like that "down there" too all through out my pregnancy. Not fun!!

I slowly started switching over to cloth when I quit working and have just recently been doing it full time. It's something I really wanted to do ever since talking to Lola about it when I saw her a couple years ago, and I enjoy it so much. I hated buying something only to use it once and throw it away. I use a long cylinder kick-to-open garbage can with a hard pull out liner in it. So I dont' use a cloth liner, I just spray the hard one with cleaner and wipe it down at laundry time (which is every other day). I don't have a toilet sprayer, so for really sticky ones I dunk in the toilet, but it's not so bad once you get used to it. A small wet bag is great for the diaper bag. Have fun! and I want to see new pics!

Oh diapers, yay!  Until your baby is on solids or formula, cloth diapering is so easy because breast milk poop is completely water soluable.  Seriously, just toss them in the washer.  It sounds gross but I never saw a trace of poop ever.  After that, use liners and you won't have to rinse so much or at all.   I just used one bucket for everything and washed every other day.  Makes sure your dog can't get into it :)  I use prefolds, flats, and fitteds and like them all.  I have bummis super snap covers and imse vimse wool covers (which I love), and just plastic pull on pants.  I also have quite a few kooshies covers that I got consignment that work just fine.  The super snaps leak if they are too small at all but if they fit right, they don't leak.  AT night, I just doubled up on prefolds or used a fitted with extra liners in it.  Dry them in the sun and all the stains completely disapear.  No need to bleach them ever.  Hmm, that's all the tips I have.  Hope it helps a bit.

Hey Deanna!

This whole BLOG thing is pretty exciting! I can't help but remember a time when you were visiting at our place and bemoaning the fact that you had entered  the menarche stage of a your teen life! My advice was to celebrate as it showed that you were healthy and would one day get to enjoy the beautiful experience of pregnancy and motherhood. Ya.. you did look at me like I had grown an extra head!! HaHa! Anyhoo.. My advise now.........RELAX !! Your body knows what to do! You are sooooo health conscious so that will never be an issue! However tense mothers make colicky babies and that is something you do not want to experience! Slow down lady! That is what your body is telling you to do! Sleep NOW in a few more months that may be in short supply!!HaHa!Love Ya! Wendy
