Baby has arrived!

Questions

So I've decided that I'm going to update this every weekend. That way people can know when to check, and it'll also be a good checkpoint for me to stay in touch with this whole experience :)

So, what's new...?

Questions:
- Talk to me about raspberry leaf tea. I've heard wonders, I'm excited, and I've ordered some online, BUT is it safe during first trimester?
- What about bacon; are nitrites really that bad?
- Any tips for preparing for cloth diaper use, and any good links to good suppliers? We're SO excited about going fabric, BUT we have one tiny bathroom and I  want to be be prepared to be clean and organized. So far, it sounds like we're going to do some pre-folds, some bumgenius, and now the ones Missy linked me to, the fuzzy  bunz.
- I am exhausted ALL the time. Seriously, it's difficult to think, to work, to clean, to do anything, and I'm becoming really discouraged. Any tips?

So, beyond being incredibly exhausted, things are going well. The Yankees sleeper that Jeremy ordered arrived, along with a maternity shirt he surprised me with. I also ordered a great (I hope) prego' fitness DVD. I am SO determined to stay fit. And I'm trying to order a really neat prenatal book "The Complete Book of Pregnancy and Childbirth". The room is looking great with the new rocking chair, and we're eager to find out the sex so we can decorate accordingly :)

Last week I had a lot of pain in my side and I was freaking out, sure that it was an ectopic pregnancy. It's settled out, and I think it might just be my ov' cysts clinging on, but it's scary how many things can go wrong. I want to just relax and have peace with everything, but the sooner I'm safely through this first trimester the better!

Until next week...!

Developments

Yesterday, Jeremy went into Red Deer. When I came home, there was sparking juice chilling on the table, an awesome supper, and chocolatey dessert. In the baby room stood a brand new 'glider rocker'; a little wooden rocking chair for me and Baby. On the chair was a bag with a pair of maternity pants that he had picked out himself. He is adorable.

In other news....
I love my boobs! There are some definite 'perks' to pregnancy

The Baby Ate My Brain!

WOW...I have become one big stupid.

Honestly, it appears that the baby ate my brain! I have become a forgetful, bumbling idiot! I'm just plain...dumb!

Case in point:
I sit on a marketing committee at work, complete with the VP, Dean, and other important people. The agenda was broken down as point 'A', 'B', etc. Well, most of my peers call me 'Dee'. So, on the fourth agenda point the Chair said, "Alright, 'D'", and I straigtened up and said, "Yes! Alright!" :0
I did this twice.

In other news...
- I told my special 'campus' friends yesterday. I was SO blessed by their words of encouragment and affirmation. I'm a generally anxious person, often unsure what people will think of me (it's not the best vice to have...). Their swift reactions of joy were such a sweet gift to me. I am so blessed by this community of women and Sisters!
- The prenatel pills are HUGE. I can't swallow them...so I chew them! Yes, they are disgusting.
- Jeremy is so eagar with the baby room. Actually, he's adorable, but we do have another 8 months to go :)
- I have this thing going on in my head which will likely get me later. I keep thinking I really won't get that big, and that labor won't be that bad.... I'm right, right? ;)
- I am sharing this pregnancy with 3 out of 4 of my sister-in-laws!!! There will be 3 new grandchildren within 5 months- wow.
- I think I want a doula.
- I got a docter yesterday- YAY! Though, I don't have an appointment until the end of November.

Time to get to work. I think I may tell my co-workers this week. I know, it's early. In some ways, it feels like docters and stuff almost expect people to miscarry- scary. We continue to pray for Baby's life and health; pray with us :)

Are you serious???

I have entered that league of women who carry life within their womb.

I have never been so happy, so excited, so sleepy, so in awe, so distracted. It's difficult to really focus on anything, as all I want to do is prepare and dream.

I also just found out this morning that I will be sharing this experience with some of my dearest girl friends, and three of us will deliever within one week of each other! What a blessing! Also, we shared the news with Jeremy's parents, and they said they'd buy us a brand new crib!!! Wow, we are incredibly blessed.

Well, time to exercise. This morning I purchased a used (but good) eliptical trainer at a steal of a deal! Now I can exercise while I drink my raspberry leaf tea and prepare for a great labour! :)
