Funny Christmas morning for Baby.
Apparently pregnancy affects a woman's blood pressure This morning while standing in church I found it increasingly difficult to breathe. As my breath decreased, darkness crept into my vision and I slowly fainted onto the floor. Ridiculous! Jer' took me into the hospital to be sure things were alright with me and Baby, and it turned out the my prego' doctor was on call. I'm supposed to increase my water and food and be aware that my blood pressure totally goes wonky when changing from sitting to standing.
So, now were home and enjoying the Day. Had yummy french toast and will soon watch The Nativity Story. I still feel woozy, so I think it's going to be a slow day.

Christmas
Baby's first Christmas, kind of :)
Our baby received a ton of gifts from his/her grandparents last night. Tons of clothes and a beautiful handmade receiving blanket will be a great addition to the wardrobe :)
Things are going well, and next week I will officially enter my second trimester (did you know the first is actualy 14 weeks?). I still get pretty tired but am feeling better overall. I wouldn't mind sleeping through the night without going to the bathroom 3 times but I don't think that's going to happen.
When I relax my belly I totally show. Then again, 6 months ago when I relaxed my belly it also looked like I was 'showing'! So who knows ;) I think it's a bad draw to hit all the major holidays when pregnant; way more difficult not to eat poorly. I'm being careful...but my next prenatel is on New Years Eve so I'll have the whole Christmas week against me ;)
Cravings these days:
- Chocolate milk, pepperoni and mushroom pizza, mini wheats, simple sandwiches on white buns.
(Funny story. The other night I was totally craving something, but mostly a turkey sandwhich on a soft white roll, which I forgot to detail to jeremy. My valiant husband went out to satisfy my desire. He returned with a giant gourmet sandwich; salami, capicolla, spicy sauce, on a thick tough slice of foccacia. It was the sweetest effort.I had chocolate milke.)

(Grr! This site is not cooperating today! First, issues with photos, then it deleted my journal entry!)
Well, there's some new pics.
Stuff is going well, though my house is messy and it's winter so I'm grumpy ;(
Christmas is coming- yay!
I want to meet my baby :)

Hungry strollers
I think I'm coming to that beautiful shift where the 'glow' returns and the exhaustion and nausea takes pause. This past Wednesday I distinctly felt a bit more energy, made it through the day without falling asleep, and only freaked out at food once. Interestingly enough, I've also apparently hit 'the hunger stage', which seems a little early to me.... Our close friends (Sam & Kit) were here this week and on Wednesday evening we sent them out to pick up celery, chocolate milk, icecream, yogurt, and canned baby corn. It was awesome! I was trying so hard to be healthy but was so hungry which led me into eating two whole bunches of celery. I finally gave in to the Hagan Daaz, just this once ;)(Note to mom-in-law for the Christmas visit, I am a fresh fruit/veggie, granola with no-fat vanilla yogurt, chocolate milk machine! I'm sorry...I may eat your fridge!)
So yeah, things are going well. The baby room looks amazing with the new laminate, I'm reading everything possible, and I'm already impatient to meet Baby. Oh, and we're getting somewhere on names- sweet! :)
My big thing this week has been researching strollers. I thought we'd go for somet Graco deal through Sears and Toys-r-us, but now that I'm checking online, there are some incredible new things out there!! right now I'm checking out the GoGo Babyz Urban something, pegPerego (though I think I might scratch that), Earth Babies, and...some other really cool ones that I can't remember.
Here's what I want in a stroller, in case you have ideas or cautions:
- something light enough for me to lift. I'm not as strong as I used to be, so super heavy just isn't going to work.
- wheels/shocks that can handle gravel or basic trails when we're camping
- reversible handle would be awesome!! I love the option of baby facing out or facing me
- adjustable handle would be sweet since we have 1.5 feet height dif'
- big basket and cup holder
- able to manuever in stores (so optional swivel/lock on front wheel(s)
- looks cool enough for Jeremy to walk with it ;)
So, I'm open to ideas and your own experiences! Thanks :)
