Pregnancy Reflections

First Month

I started thinking I might be pregnant when:
I came home one day and polished of half a jar of pickles dipped in peanut butter!!! (About 2 weeks ago). Also, my chest was tender, I was forgetting appointments, and I put the pickels away in the bread cupboard :)

I found out I was pregnant when I:
Took a home pregnancy test on the morning of OCtober 18th. Quite honestly, I felt as though I 'knew'...somehow. There was this presence of mystery and knowledge. The night before I had a crazy dream where Jeremy woke me up. He was in bed with a lap of flowers and wine saying, "Wake up! We're pregnant!" I jumped out of bed a few horus later and took the test: Positive!

  I felt:
Like the richest and most blessed woman in the entire world. I felt as if no one had ever experienced what I was feeling. I felt as though I had stepped into history and promise and the mystery of womanhood.

The first person I told was:
Jeremy Marcus!!!

  They reacted by:
He was SO happy! :)
He just laughed and smiled and rejoiced. Within the hour he was shopping for a cradle blueprint. The next morning he purchased a 'Yankees' sleeper. He is seriously adorable.

  The first ultrasound was:
well..not sure

At my first prenatal visit I learned that:
Still waiting since I don't have a doctor.

  My baby will be born:
June 26th!!!

The strangest symptom of pregnancy I had this month was:
Forgetting everything!

  My hopes:
A healthy child of faith and promise, with wise parents who exhibit patience and compassion.

  My fears:
Loss.
