Baby has arrived!

2008-08-15  (40 weeks)
Only 8 more hours!!!

Wow how time does fly!  I can not believe that you will be here tomorrow.  I am so excited....I can't imagine getting much sleep tonite.  As far as I know everything is ready and in place.  Everyone is here....Memmie, Grandpa, Grandma, Pappa, and even your cousin Lauren.

Your daddy and I are supposed to be at the hospital before 6 am.  I imagine that we will get all checked in, and the nurses will begin prepping me for surgery.  Dr. Shattuck said that we should be getting started sometime around 7:30 and that everyone should be there between 7:45 and 8:00 to see you in the nursery.  I absolutely CAN NOT wait!!!

We have been so bust preparing for your arrival.  Memmie came and helped me get your room all ready.  And, of course we had to go shopping....your closet is FILLED with adorable new outfits bought espescially for you.  And, work has been crazy.  School is getting ready to start so my job in Financial Aid has been VERY hectic.  Not to mentio the fact that Mary Sue has been the tinyest bit spastic about me not being thee for Orientation.  And I am going to be teaching two tap classes at the school this year, so I have been trying to get everything prepared for that as well.  And finally, your daddy has been considering changing jobs.  It would definitely be a BIG change for all of us.  The hours and the pay are much better, but your daddy does really like his SID job.  I guess we will have to see what happens.

Anyway, I am so ready for your arrival.  I have been daydreaming about loving you for months now, and I am really looking forward to my 6 weeks off from work.  I even contemplated not going back to work and staying home with you and Addison, but unfortunately it just wouldn't work.

Oh Morgan head, I already love you so much!!!  And, I really, really can't wait to hold you in my arms tomorrow.  I can't wait to see who you look like.  WIll you look like me, or your daddy?  Will you look anything like your sister?  What will your personality be like...calm and cool like your daddy or spunky like your sister?  And I wonder what kind of relationship you and your sister will develop.  I do not have a sister so I have no idea what that relationship can or will be like.

OK, it is nearly midnite and I am supposed to be awake and getting ready to leave the house in a little less than 5 hours, so I will see you soon little one.

I LOVE YOU!

My little Morgan Head!!!!
Hello sweet baby!  Well, you have really started moving around lately, and I wonder if you are getting yourself ready to arrive!  I told your daddy that I was afraid you might be a bit hard headed because you are trying to wiggle all around and there really is not enough room for that.  But, it doesn't seem to bother you....you just keep pushing and stretching.  And while you might finally get into the position you like, it is KILLING me!  Oh well, I guess it goes with the territory.  I can't complain too much....I like having a little reminder that you are in there.  And, I can't believe how soon you will be here!  ONE MORE MONTH, and I guess that technically you could arrive any day.  Guess I better get packed.  That is something that I put off doing with your sister and it just about drove your daddy crazy!

Speaking of your arrival, your Memmie is coming tomorrow to help me get your room all ready.  I guess we will get everything down from the attic tomorrow and then we will get busy organizing on Wednesday.  There is so much to do.  I wonder where we will start?  Probably with the clothes, washing them and putting them all away.  Then we will need to get the crib mattress back in place, and the bumper put back up.  And the thing I am dreading most is organizing the cabinet that keeps all the bottles.  That thing is a MESS!  Oh, and I am sure that we will have to go shopping to get you some special things of your own.  Not everything can or should be a hand-me-down!

Then, on August 2nd they are throwing us a baby shower at the studio!  I couldn't believe it.  So, we will get many special things there.  It is for both you and Makayla, Elizabeth's baby girl that is due in September.  You are so special....most of the time no gives a shower for a second or third baby, but you are getting TWO!  That's because you are so special.  Everyone is dying to meet you....especially me!

Ok, so the time is flying by!  I definitely plan on writing again, however, I can't make any promises.  We go to see Dr. Shattuck again on Thursday, so hopefully I will be back with an update then.  I love you!!!  And I will see you soon!

2 months and 12 days to go

Morgan,

It's Daddy again and it is only two months and 12 days til you are scheduled to be born. We just celebrated your sister's (Addison) birthday last week and we are going this weekend to Houston to visit Granma and Papa so they can celebrate with Addison too. We got Addison a big swing set/club house play thing for her birthday and your Grandpa and I put it together. Addison is having a lot of fun with it so far and we hope you will have fun with it too when you are here.

I am writing to you from my office and Mommy is here too. We just had lunch together and you were moving quite a bit in Mommy's stomach. As a matter of fact, you just kicked her and she says we don't have room for another fiesty girl in the house. So, maybe you will be a little more mellow like me.

I traded in my truck for a car so we could fit your car seat in there. It wasn't going to fit in my truck with Addison's as well. We will also save on gas money, so that is good. Gas prices are going crazy right now, so it makes sense financially to save on gas money. After all, we do have to buy food and diapers for you when you arrive.

Addison is excited about your arrival as well. She knows you are in Mommy's tummy right now and she says your name really good. Get ready, because she is going to talk your head off when you get here.

Well, I will get back to you soon. We love you very much and can't wait to hold you in our arms!

Morgan....it's Daddy

Hi Morgan!

Sorry it has taken so long for me to write to you. The summer is almost here and my job in the athletic department at Centenary is starting to wind down (Finally!). Your mom and I are very excited about your arrival in August and can't wait for you to be here. Your sister Addison is also looking forward to having you to play with soon.

As you probably have already read, your mom and I took a good while to pick your name. We came up with Morgan right at the beginning but we also went through a ton of other names. I liked Logan, Campbell, Hayden, and Reagan, but eventually we went back to our first idea of Morgan. We hope you like it. We do!

Your middle name, Marie, is my mom's middle name as well. You were named for her and your sister Addison was named after Keeley's mom with her middle name being Lynn.

Well, I will be writing you again soon. I love you!

-Daddy
