It's a boy! Hey there my little man. We have been going MANY days over the past two weeks to make sure you are doing well with your bladder obstruction. On Wednesday, we heard the good news that we are moving forward to put a shunt in so you will have aminotic fluid to swim around in again. I miss feeling you move! Also on Wednesday, we got your karyotype back from the geneticists...you are a boy! You are probably already aware of this, but it is nice to be able to call you son instead of baby all the time. Me and dad are still cooking up a name, but are pretty sure we will be going with Matthew for you. My strong fighting little son.
Monday we will be at Northside of the procedure and you will feel immensely better, while I am feeling quite sore immediately afterward. At least we get the great joy of seeing you so many times through out the pregnancy before you are born. It seems to me that you are much more mellow than your older brother...maybe that is just me HOPING for that. I don't know if I could handle both of you with that much energy! Luckily with us being near family now, everyone has been pitching in to help you and me out around the house and for appointments. Pretty cool to know how loved you are before they even meet you huh?
Well little Matthew, I am off to sing to you a goodnight song and then will be turning in myself. Your brother drained me of energy today! I'll post how our shunt surgery went. Lots of love, hugs and kisses to you from all of us! Remember, you rest and let us handle all of this. YOu will be out of discomfort soon son. |
