Bouncing Baby
Emer has been extremely active the last 2 days... making me almost jump right out of my chair in the middle of a meeting yesterday. All day it was bouncing around in there. I dont mind all the moving at all though and have to smile every time I feel it. Riley thinks he felt Ms head last night as there was a distintive hard spot in the middle of my belly. I am still getting "hot" spots on the top of my stomach... it can almost be painful so am not too sure what is jabbing me but imagine its only a matter of time before my entire stomach is numb like this!
Went to the doc this morning for our appt. it was pretty uneventful which I guess should not disappoint me right?! Ms heart beat at 140pm still and my measurements were on track... blood pressure still the same and that was about it! Back again in another 2 weeks. I have been keeping a running list of questions to ask so managed to get a few of those out of the way and will leave the rest for the next appt.
Sorry we dont have much else to report. We are not up to much this weekend but will get some stuff done in the yard since it will finally be nice. Hope everyone is well-- keep in touch!

Steel Toed and Pregnant
After spending the week in Assiniboia again, at our plant, and wearing steel toed boots all day (did I mention they weight about 5 pounds each), running up the stairs and standing for prolonged periods of time...absolutely everything is hurting! Laying down each night was when I could really feel how sore I was... even more of my feet are numb (not just the heels anymore), and my tail bone is killing me. Even sitting and driving were hurting this week! needless to say I had hoped this would be my last trip out but it is looking like there may be one more in about 3 weeks time. URGH! Hard to believe, but wearing high heeled boots to the movie last night felt amazing!! It may be time to look into some arch supports or something else that I can put in those dang boots...as I dont think I will be allowed to wear regular shoes in the plant... even in "my condition" as some of the men call it! too funny!
Also happy to report that I still have an "innie" for now... I can't believe that by Monday there will only be 80+ days until baby M arrives! I am so excited to see his/her little TOES... baby toes are so sweet! All the moving around in me is making me picture what the baby really looks like and realize it's really in there too! My next doc appt is on thursday. We will get another picture posted soon-- Monday I hope!

Kick My Daddy!
YAY-- Saturday afternoon Emer finally kicked for Daddy! We were basking in the sun having a drink when I decided to flash Em some sun... I lifted up my shirt to expose my deformed belly button (we'll get to that!)... and to my delight Emer started to kick right away... little too bright in there I guess. Riles could see it from across the table so came over to see if he could finally feel it. He was able to feel several big kicks and was amazed at how much he could feel-- finally even more proof there is a moving creature inside me! It was really sweet!
Onto the belly button... Riles was checking out my belly button the other day when he asked "what's that dimple above your belly button?"... well i told him it's the scar that USED to be on the INSIDE of my belly button from my belly button ring...to which he replied "well, it wasnt there yesterday!"... so needless to say we dont think it will be long before I have an OUTTIE... but we are keeping our fingers crossed!
