2.5 Months- Take Two!

Boo! This is my second time typing this out!  Can't guarantee I remember everything!

This week has been relatively uneventful.  I read the baby will double in size this week and be as long as 2 inches by the end of the week.  There will be some rapid growth here in the next while so stay tuned for those belly pictures-- Riley took the first one this morning at 10 weeks so at least we will have a baseline.  Not much to see but a few extra "stones" I have held onto since Christmas!

This weekend I ventured out to do a bit of shopping- -much to my delight...maternity/looking pregnant is TOTALLY IN!  This means many more options and way cheaper prices than regular maternity stores! yay... I am finally "in style"!  We also did some looking around at Kacz Kids... got a bit of an education on strollers and car seats...who knew there were so many different styles, colors, prices, options!  Took a peek at some cribs ... and I now know I am much to cheap to go for some of the REALLY nice ones!  They sure are cute though.

Well, hope you have a great week... keep you posted on our progress!!

4 Paper Clips

So, now 9 complete weeks and onto the 10th... our baby weighs approximately the same as 4 paper clips!  And will have doubled in size... to just under 1.5 inches.

The cat is now officially out of the bag!  We must say that Riley's Auntie Debbie is among those most excited.  Cheryl has had to remind her that SHE is the Grandma!  Thank you to everyone for the phone calls and emails etc!

Well-- has anyone heard of experiencing your first round of morning sickness AFTER the 9th week?  Last night and this morning were not fun.  I found myself chewing GUM the entire night to overpower the terrible, metal-like taste in my mouth!  And this morning while brushing my teeth I found I was crouched over the sink... quite the sound to wake Riley up to!  Anyways, hopefully that was a one time thing... or that it will not last long.  But I am now stocked up... on chewy Rolaids (so sick of TUMS), strong mint gum, and Listerine Pocket packs for tonight...much safer than gum I am sure!

We hope everyone has a great week.... we will keep you posted if anything else exciting happens!

Baby in the 9th Week

Our baby is now the size of a raspberry!  Gosh, that is small!  But at least it's something you can picture now!

This week has been really good- the hunger pangs...or whatever they were have FINALLY subsided and I no longer feel like I could eat a horse every 2 hours.  Have been able to stay up past 9 pm each night this week...although 10:30 last night seemed to be pushing it!  I think this weekend could call for a bit of shopping for me.. lately I am not comfortable wearing any regular button up shirts or form fitting shirts- likely my imagination, but nonetheless some loser fitting clothing would suit me just fine!

Riley, aka BIG PAPA :), has now got TWO books he must get reading in order to get up to speed with this.  We found a really great DADDY book the other day.. I love it.. it even reminds him not to poke fun at my more "voluptuous" figure!  haha.  Clinton also was kind enough to send his, although Clinton recommends leaving the last 2 chapters(months) as a surprise!  After all this reading Riley is sure to be the expert... I think his books are far more interesting than mine!

We are planning to start spreading our news right away... so for those of you just finding out.. We are so happy to share our news with you...and to the anxiously awaiting Grandmothers... hold it in just a little longer!  Hope everyone's having a great day!  Thanks for checking in on us all!

2 Months Down and 7 to Go!

We are getting very anxious to tell people our news.  Lately it seems like a dream, as I have been feeling quite good, obviously am not showing, don't have another doctor's appointment for awhile and have not been able to chat to people about it yet.  The plan is to start telling people over the next week or so, so maybe it will seem more real then!  Can't wait!

For now I have had to lie at least 3 times in the past 5 days alone.  Seems everyone is asking these days, or maybe it's just seems like it!   Sorry to those I lied to so far this week!
