Off to a good start!

So as if wardrobe issues are not enough to handle first thing in the morning...but after finally settling on something to wear (since my choices are limited), I proceeded to iron a hole right through the shirt I was going to wear!  Since I was wearing non-maternity pants...I really needed a longer shirt to cover the bulging waist band!  SO... after much complaining I finally found something else that was suitable.  Was funny when Riley called this morning to ask me "how is your outfit"!?  It seems like I have bought so much but obviously need to make one more trip back to THYME to get me through till summer.

Aside from that EMER is feasting away this week.  I have been so hungry!  guess my vow to start eating more fruit/veggie snacks is not quite cutting it.  Hopefully the high fibre snacks I have stocked up on will help!

Anyways- just thought some of you would be able to appreciate the humour in my morning fiasco!

Happy 20 Weeks for Emer!

Happy Monday Everyone!  We are now officially half way there! !!

All is well and Mom's belly is starting to grow!  I think Riley likes being able to give it a pat or a rub every now and again.  Unfortunately Body Shop is still sold out of COCOA BUTTER STICKS, however I have bought a similar product instead so here's hoping for little or no stretching!  I am still feeling really good, but my feet are starting to hurt a bit.  We shopped for a bit on SAT and my heels are still a little numb.  Any thoughts on how to fix that anyone?  We went for a walk last nite which didnt seem to make it any worse which is good.  Found a few more maternity clothes this weekend which will start to help out in the wardrobe section...but let's hope it warms up soon as I have tried to go for capris instead of pants!  :)

Thursday is our next prenatal appointment and actually the last with the family doctor so we are looking forward to meeting the OB/GYN on May 15th!  We did get some results back from the ultrasound last week.  All was good as they looked for facial, abdominal, physical defects.  So we are happy about that obviously!  The carseat arrived last week as well...just as it was described on EBAY and most importantly...it's really IS brand new! So now we just have the stroller to receive.  There is not much left to get now!

Well, check out the new pics of the baby bump and a few I took of the baby room.  Once Riley paints I will post a pic of the finished product!  Have a great week!

Our Baby is Growing

Well, I officially had my first stranger ask me about my "baby bump" last night.  I was checking out of my hotel when the man asked if it was a "boy or girl"!  I really didnt think you could tell, I was wearing a jacket too... but guess there is no mistaking it now!  woohoo... Emer bump!  Riley thinks I am a nut!

I am still in Saskatchewan, but have been feeling good...aside from some backaches at night.  Am lookin forward to heading home, hopefully tomorrow... really anxious to get out of here!

Anyways- since we didnt take the 19 week picture I will make sure the 20 week pic goes up early next week so you can judge for yourself!  Have a great week...

Forever Friends

"Forever Friends" is the name of the crib bedding we picked out yesterday!  Yes, another spur- of- the- moment, change- your- mind moment for the Spaks!  We went from having neutral cream, beige, brown theme for the baby's room to something totally different, but I like it!  We thought we would check out bedding just to be sure we knew what we wanted...  but this set was too cute to pass up.  Little bears, bunnies, giraffes, puppies, and lambs!  What's not to like.  The colors are navy blue, sage gree, cream and a bit of brown.  We have now narrowed down the paint colors to a light green or "Teddy bear" brown...a light brown/taupe.  We also went and picked up the change table we had ordered in.  Now that everything is set up it is really looking like a baby room finally.  We will take some pictures and post soon.
