Tootsies!

WOW-- I have never felt as much pain as I did last night.  It was impossible to sleep with the heels of my feet absolutely THROBBING all nite...shooting pain all the way up my calves!  This always seems to be an issue after the weekends.  We did some shopping on Sunday and then went for a 30 min walk, but this seems ridiculous to be this sore!  Even Tylenol did not seem to touch it.  From what I have read this could be from poor circulation (hence the walk!), too much salt (which was only in one meal I ate yesterday...a dusting on my grilled veggies), or too little water (this one I will admit to)!  If anyone has some good ideas for how to make this pain go away...bring it on!  For now I will continue to decrease my salt even more and drink a bit more water... but right now I need a fix for when all else fails!

Aside from that we had a very cool experience yesterday!  I was laying on the couch when I decided to admire my bare belly to check the "progress".  To my surprise it was MOVING!  Ever so slightly...almost like little Emer was breathing or it's heart was beating just below the surface.  I dont know how it is possible to SEE, but still not feel regularly!  But Riley got to see as well... it was so cute!  When we took the 21 week picture last night I realized I am bigger than I THOUGHT I was. I had been telling myself people still may not be able to TELL...but from the looks of the pic there is no mistaking it now!  I will post the picture tomorrow... we are looking forward to seeing all of our family next weekend.. I am sure everyone will be making observations as to the sex of the baby...definitely Grandma Karen!

Hopefully you all have a great week!

Not much to report

Well since we were snowed under yesterday my prental appointment was bumped to today.  But all went well today.  There were no surprises with the outcome of the ultrasound, normal blood pressure, and a quick little heart beat... now ranging from 150-156bpm.  The one thing I could certainly do without is the dreaded "weigh-in"... MUST they do that... and worse yet, must they TELL me!  I really hope Emer had a growth spurt, because I cant believe I have gained so much this month!  Exact numbers to be kept to myself of course! ;)  Here's hoping things slow down a bit!

Not much to do this weekend...but next weekend we head back to NB for my Great Gramma's 100th so we are looking forward to showing off our baby progress.  Should be a busy weekend so hopefully we can get in some relaxation this weekend!

Well hope everyone has a great weekend... we will update the pic next week.

Love Riley, Kyla and Emer!

I may have spoke too soon!
After I told several people, yesterday alone, that I had still not felt our baby EM move... laying in bed last nite I was admiring how it actually sticks up now even when I lay down... when all of a sudden there was a little THUMP in my lower abdomen.... then a couple minutes later... another THUMP!  I think that was REALLY it forsure this time!  I honestly thought I had felt it with my hand, but when Riley tried he couldnt feel so maybe it wasnt as hard as it felt at first.  But nonetheless I'm happy to finally be able to feel it move!  I am very excited to see if I will get to feel it again today!

Adding to the Ironing Fiasco
SO I totally forgot to also mention... that while ironing at the last minute this morning... I was half clothed in my robe... and OOPS... managed to somehow burn my poor baby bump!  YUP-- guess it is starting to get in the way!  Kinda funny...can't wait to check out the burn mark later!
