Buying maternity clothes was:
Not too eventful. Fortunately, my dear friend Brenda and my sister-in-law loaned me their maternity wardrobes.
I've bought only a few pieces here and there (at ultra sale prices, of course!) Because it's winter, I'm still able to get away with "normal" sweaters, pajamas and such.
The only maternity clothes I actually HAVE TO HAVE are pants and skirts, which I have enough now to get by on.

The biggest change in my body has been:
My belly and breasts. "Big" is the keyword here!
Let's not forget the growing thighs and butt as well, but who am I to complain? I laugh and refer to myself as "the walrus." ("Alex, please help the Walrus up," I'll say, holding a hand out to him.)
Recently, Alex asked if my nipples were getting larger as well. Yep! But don't get too used to it - it won't last forever.

My favorite change in my body has been:
That healthy hair feeling. Seems like my hair is thicker now and more manageable. My skin is also behaving itself somewhat better.
Also, I haven't had nearly as many migraines as before I was pregnant.

What I never thought would change was:
No changes have caught me by surprise...yet!

At this month's prenatal visit I learned that:
Baby's heartrate is 152 bpm.
I am measuring on target for 23 weeks.

My hopes:
Having a healthy baby girl.
Being able to handle a full-time job and a full-time child.

|
| |
My fears:
Birth defects.
Stillbirth.
