Pregnancy Reflections
Eighth Month

My pregnancy classes are:
scheduled for March 4th and 11th. Pretty interesting stuff, with plenty of things to think about.
|
|
| |
In the classes, I've learned how to:
identify active labor.
|
|
| |
What I've bought for you so far:
A couple of pink sleep sacks.
A pumpkin Halloween costume for October.
A crib and changing station.
Decorative drawer pulls for your changing station.
A window valence for your room.
A glider and ottoman.
A new futon cover to match your room and futon trundle drawers.
A light switch plate that matches your bedding.
Diapers, a pacifier, lotions, and baby wipes.
Plenty of clothes, thanks to a birthday shopping trip with Grandma, including a couple of Christmas outfits.
|
|
| |
What other people have bought for you:
Sleepers, onesies, blankets, Christmas ornaments, hooded towels, and bibs.
You raked in the loot at the baby showers - car seat, clothes, bath tub, monitors, bedding, piggy banks, play gym, hamper, bouncy seat, shopping cart covers, diaper bag, bottles, books, high chair, activity table/walker, and toys!

The strangest food craving I've had during this pregnancy is:
juice and milk. I'm thirsty all the time!
|
|
| |
The strangest piece of advice I've gotten since this pregnancy started is:
nothing really strange. Not a whole lot of advice came my way.
|
|
| |
At my prenatal visit, I learned:
I had some swelling and my blood pressure was elevated. I was put on bed rest for one week to give me a break from my hostile work environment.
The bed rest helped, as I lost 3 pounds, but my BP was still up a bit.
On the next visit, however, my BP went down.

| |
My hopes:
Being prepared and having everything clean and ready.
Getting a better FT job that enables me to work remotely.
|
|
| |
My fears:
preeclampsia, complications, infection
Day care.
Being trapped in the corporate prison.
