37 weeks and 4 days Still pregnant. I had my 37 week doctor appointment last Friday. Checked my urine, blood pressure, weight (129), listened to the heartbeat, measured my belly, checked my kick counts, got the results back from the Strep test (negative). Everything was fine. Still measure a bit on the small side, about 2 weeks smaller, but that is due to the low fluid. He said to just keep doing what I'm doing, rest and drink lots of water. He wasn't too concerned that my fluid went down a tiny bit. He said that the c-section will take only about 20-30 minutes. ..... I met a woman in the elevator who is due the same day as me and Dr. Fleisher is doing her c- section the same day. She has to be at the hospital at 2 hours before I have to be there. At least Dr. Fleisher will be warmed up by the time he gets to me. I didn't ask her why she was having a c-section, but she did say this was her second pregnancy and her first was twins delivered by c-section. She was much larger than I was. In fact she told me I looked "so cute". I asked Dr. Fleisher about my size and if I was too small. He said no, I'm a small person to begin with and that patient was "big boned" he said. He said the smallest patient he had weighed only 88 pounds when she got pregnant. He also said that the largest patient was near 500 pounds. Both had healthy babies. ...... I was talking to the nurse and she said that the largest baby that they delivered was almost 12 pounds. She said it was the wife of a TV personality, but of course she wasn't allowed to say who it was. She said that they gave her shots to help develop the baby's lungs, then as soon as she reached 37 weeks she had a c-section and the baby was still that huge. The nurse said that I should be glad I'm having a c-section because of what the baby is expected to weigh (more than 8 pounds).

Ultrasound 37 Weeks I had my 37 week ultrasound today. My fluid went down a little bit. It's now at 10. Baby's heartrate was good. And he's growing a lot. He weighs now 7 pounds 3 ounces. That's more than an ounce a day he gained. And there's still 13 more days. He's going to be a big baby, good chance he'll be over 8 pounds. I see Dr. Fleisher tomorrow.

37 Weeks and miserable I'm 37 weeks today. That means I'm Full Term. And I feel it. I'm huge. I don't know what happened this past week but I'm now miserable. I feel so big, so heavy, so enormous. I can't seem to get comfortable, ever. Sitting, standing, or laying down, I'm never comfortable. I can't breath, I can't walk, I can't move I'm so uncomfortable. He's moving all the time, which is good, but even that has gotten so uncomfortable. My back hurts, my feet hurt. I'm miserable. I have zero energy to do anything. And I'm so sick of having to drink all that water. I am so ready for this baby to be born. Less then 2 weeks away. I have my next ultrasound tomorrow morning.

Kick Counts Late I had trouble getting my kick counts yesterday. I felt him move throughout the day and around 3 pm he had the hiccups. But about 8 pm I realized that I didn't get my kick counts yet so was starting to worry. And I also had a lot of braxton hicks contractions yesterday. So maybe that had to do with it. But thankfully I ended up getting the 10 movements around 9:45 pm. It took 42 minutes, which is a lot longer than it has taken in weeks. Usually it's between 10 and 20 minutes to get the 10 movements. I've done them already today and it has took 14 minutes. I'm having the braxton hicks contractions everyday now, multiple times a day. I wonder if I'll go into labor before the 18th. I asked Dr. Fleisher if he'd stop it, or if he'd do the c-section then. He said it depends on how dialated I am. Only 16 more days until the 18th!
