Shopping Hi everyone! Today I am 14 weeks and 4 days. Not all that much is new. We did go baby shopping yesterday. We found this great store. It's called Childrens Orchard. They sell used baby clothes and other baby items. They also buy used items. Everything is like brand new. A baby only will wear somehing for a few months before they outgrow it. They have a lot of brand name items. We kinda went a bit crazy in the store. But we didn't spend that much. We bought a pair of Osh Kosh Bagosh denim overalls for only $5 and they had a bunch of onesies for $.99 and we bought some Baby Gap items as well. I posted a photo of what we bought. And everything only came to $22.55. They had some bassenettes for $50. We could save a fortune there. There is another store across town called Kid to Kid we'll check out too. And I'm looking for a used Maternity clothing store. It was so fun shopping. I just wish we knew if we could buy blue or pink. Johan kept picking up all the cute pink things. He really wants a girl. I don't care if we have a boy or girl, I just want to know one way or the other.

New Photos Added I'm 14 Weeks today April 26th. I have been feeling alright lately. Not as tired, not as nauseous. I'm starting to feel fat. I have already stopped wearing most of my pants and jeans. When I put a skirt on for Easter I really had to suck it in. I've been keeping track of my weight since I found out I was pregnant. I have gained about 5 pounds. I am down to only 1 pair of jeans that fit me. And I unbutton them when I sit down. I have also cut the elastic waist bands on all my work pants, they were getting so tight they were leaving marks. I do have one other pair of jeans that I could wear. They have always been really big and baggy on me. So much so that I have never worn them out in public. I'm afraid I'll be wearing them soon. I've added pictures of my growing belly so everyone can see. I also included one of me as a "before" picture. .........
I have been on a tomato kick lately. I have been eating them when ever I can. Even right now when I'm writing this I wish I had some tomatoes in the house. I also had another strange dream. I dreamt that I was in labor and all that I could see of the baby was one hand. Kinda waving at everyone. Strange. And in this dream I knew that the baby was a girl. So now I've had one dream of a boy and one dream of a girl, that's 1-1. I don't know how anyone could go the whole 9 months without knowing if they were having a boy or girl. I'm only 14 weeks and not knowing is driving me crazy.

Strange Dream I had a strange dream the other night. I dreamt that the baby was here (a boy by the way) and Johan and I didn't know how to change a diaper. So it took us 8 hours to change his diaper, and we just couldn't get his bottom clean. And cause it took us so long to change him we forgot to feed him. If I'm having anxiety dreams now, imagine how bad they'll be when I get close to my due date.

Second Doctor's Appointment I had my second doctor's appointment on Friday. It was a shorter appointment than last time. And as I've read, most of my appointments will be short, unless there is a complication. I met with the insurance coordinator. She went over all the fees and costs associated with the pregnancy and labor. Because I have double insurance I won't have to pay a penny for anything, not even co-pays. She went over the fees. For a regular delivery the doctor charges over $4000 just for him to be there, that doesn't cover the hospital, the anastegiologist, all the regular doctor appointments throughout the pregnancy, or any ultrasounds. Right now for the insurance papers they have me down for a regular birth, but they will change that to cesarian when we get closer. She said that the cesarian will cost double the regular birth. I don't know how anyone without insurance could afford to have a baby. The cost could easily reach $15,000. And then if there were any complications it would skyrocket. I'm thankful I don't have to worry about the cost. She gave me a packet of information about all sorts of things like: breastfeeding, cord blood banking, nutrition, coupons for maternity stores in town, and samples of Ensure for Pregnancy, and Pregnancy Health bars. So then I saw the doctor. He said that all 9 tubes of blood they took last time all came back normal. And he said I'm O+ which I had already knew. Johan doesn't know what he is. I asked him "if I get sick (have a cold, ect) does that mean that the baby is sick too?" He said no, the baby will not be sick. I also read that the only concern is if I have a fever of 102 for 2 days or more. So that set my mind at ease. I also asked him about a pain I had been having. I was having a pain in the right lower side. He checked it out and says that it is the ligament that runs along side of the uterus is getting stretched out. He says not that common, but it does happen, and is nothing to worry about. He did say that it usually happens later and not this early. And most likely will get worse, and I could feel the pain on the other side as well because there is a ligament on that side too. I asked him about 3D ultrasounds. He said they are safe, but very expensive and in his opinion a waste of money. I think we will skip that. He recommended Cord Blood Banking. I asked him if he did this with his children. He said yes. (he has one boy who is 4). He said he paid $1600 the first year and $100 annually. This is something that I think we should do. He also recomended the company he uses which is associated the the University of Arizona because it's a university it will most likely be around for many many years. And you can't be sure of that with a new company. So that is something that we're looking into. We also heard the heartbeat again. It's such a beautiful sound. It's kinda hard to believe that there is a person inside of me. The heartbeat was slower this time than last, although it was still really fast. The baby is about 3 inches now. I also have to go for more blood work. It is a standard test to screen for any abnormalities. My next appointment is on May 19th. I'll be 17 weeks then. They do the ultra sound between 18-20 weeks. So at my next appointment I'll schedule the ultrasound for shortly after that. I can't wait. This is going to be one long month to wait.
