4 days until ultrasound Only 4 days left until we find out the sex. So just a last reminder to everyone. If you haven't told me your guess yet please let me know so you'll be included in the baby's book. ........ I've found all the items for the Noah's Ark Nursery at stores online. It's also available at USA Baby. So as long as they say Boy on Thursday, then on Saturday we're going out to USA Baby and start buying the things. What they don't have, or what is more expensive we'll buy at the online store. ....... Johan made me look for girl themed nursery stuff. I don't know. I search a bunch of things. I know I'd want pink. But I couldn't really find anything I liked. There was one that was teddy bears and pink. Maybe that one. But I'm not thinking too much about it. I'll worry about it later if I need too.

My 27th Birthday Saturday was my birthday. My golden birthday, I turned 27 on the 27th. It was a great birthday. It started with breakfast in bed by my husband. He made me french toast topped with blueberries, scrambled eggs, starbucks hazelnut decaf coffee and passion fruit juice. delicious. Then we went shopping. I needed to buy some clothes that fit. I went to the maternity store, but I'm not big enough to wear those clothes yet, no surprise there. I did buy two Bella Bands though. No one has probably ever heard of these before so I'll do my best to explain what they are. It is made of a spandex type material, and looks like a tube top. However you wear it around your waist. And it will go over your pre-pregnancy jeans that you can't button anymore. And it holds them closed and no one even knows that your pants aren't buttoned. Also wear it so that it covers your stomach when your pre-pregnancy shirts do not anymore. I'll try to post a photo of me wearing it so you get the idea. It truly is the greatest invention in maternity clothes ever!....... Lets see, I also bought some t-shirts, a tank top, and a pair of sandals. At the maternity store in the fitting room they have these pillow type things that you can wear as a belly so you get an idea of what you'll be like when you get that big. I resisted the urge to try it on..... Then we went to the church service (like we do every Saturday), then we went to dinner at Roy's. They call it Hawaiian Fusion Cuisine (whatever that means). My friend Jayme gave me a gift card for there. It is one of our favorite restaurants. This is the third time we have been there. We went for our first wedding anniversary and for our second anniversary. (last year we went to Michael Mina's). The dinner was excellent. I had the crab cakes. They were so good. It was three mini crab cakes each in their own little dish, then all three dishes were lined up on another dish. And it was served with a butter lemon sauce. They were slightly spicy, but just right. Johan had the Haleakala roll. (Haleakala is the name of the volcano on Maui). For the entree I had Butterfish. I had never had that kind of fish before. It was very good. tasted just like butter (but I guess that's why it's name is Butterfish), very soft and tender white fish. Johan had the macadamia nut encrusted MahiMahi. (That was the fish that was served at our wedding, if you guys remember). We didn't have dessert. We instead went to Starbucks and had decaf frapachinos. They don't have the chocolate fudge brownie one anymore, very disappointed. I got the java chip one, Johan got the original coffee one. All in all it was a very good birthday.

calculating months Remember what I said before about how a pregnacy is 40 weeks but that calculates to 10 months and not 9 months. Well, here is a chart I found on another mother-to-be journal site. I copied it here.----------
1 month = wks 3 to 6.........
2 months = wks 7 to 10...........
3 months = wks 11 to 14...........
4 months = wks 15 to 18.........
5 months = wks 19 to 22........
6 months = wks 23 to 26........
7 months = wks 27 to 30..........
8 months = wks 31 to 34..........
9 months = wks 35 to 40+/- .............it seems that all the months are 4 weeks long, except the 9th month which lasts 6 long weeks.

18 weeks today I just posted 2 new pictures of my belly taken yesterday. I am 17 weeks and 5 days in the photos. You can clearly see now my belly rounding out. Not too much else to say. I have 3 days off this week (because I only had 1 last week). Saturday is my birthday. I turn 27 on the 27th. And just waiting until my ultrasound next week. By the way, everyone is telling me that they read this site a lot, however hardly anyone is telling me their guess on if I'm having a boy or girl. I'd really like to hear from everyone, and also so I can record it in the baby's book. ..... I've been reading the What to Expect When Expecting book. It's really good and informative. A friend told me that another great book I need to get is called The Baby Whisperer. That's all for today.
