Feeling Pretty Good

Other than the severe fatigue the last week, I've been feeling pretty good. The morning sickness has subsided and only gets bad if I don't eat something every few hours. Whoo hoo! I wish I didn't feel like sleeping all the time but hopefully that will pass soon as well. Chris and I are moving in about two weeks. I can't believe the amount of stuff we have between the two of us. The baby even has a box of his/her own! Oh well, we'll have plenty of room in the new place. Chris and I have been discussing having a natural birth. Although I am not looking forward to the pain, we believe it is the best thing for me and the baby. I'm looking into The Bradley Method classes and I'm going to see how supportive my OB is about having the least interventions as possible.

Anyway, I hope everyone has a great week and I'll write again in about a week.

Love,

Lee Ann

Surreal

I meant to add another entry last Friday but I had my first prenatal appointment and it made me so nervous. I could hardly function. Everything with the baby is great, it just made it so much more real for me. I'm going to have a baby. Wow. I had an ultrasound and Chris and I got to see the heart beating. We got the classic fuzzy ultrasound picture that I showed anyone who would look. We ended up liking the Dr. a lot so I may end up keeping him.

Chris and I got the house we wanted. We move on January 26th. I'm not looking forward to it. Chris has so much stuff!  I'm hoping some of my fantastic friends will help us out. It will be awesome once the move is done though. The house is nice and we will finally have enough room for all our stuff.

I've been feeling much better the last few days. I'm still tired and still get nauseous but it's not nearly as bad as was. I'm really starting to realize how different my life is becoming. It's sad and exciting all at the same time. I always have a hard time with change and I'll miss  my freedom and friends but I'm sure something so fulfilling and wonderful will take it's place.

I hope everyone has a great week!

Love,

Lee Ann

How much longer???

It's been a rough week! Between fatigue, morning sickness, peeing every 5 minutes, lower back pain and mood swings I'm already wondering how much longer until I feel like myself again! I had the weirdest back pain. It came on suddenly right before bed, lasted all night and all day and then went away as quickly as it came on. I've never really suffered from lower back pain before, let me tell you, it is awful! I felt really good yesterday though and I'm really excited about moving so it's not all bad.

Chris and I found a house we like and put in the application today. It's a big four bedroom so we will have plenty of room for everyone. It's in a cute family neighborhood with lots of green belts and parks and stuff. I sure hope we get approved.

I have my first dr.'s appointment in a week but after talking to one of the girls that went to him, I think I'll have to find someone new. Kelly thinks it would be better to have a midwife and not give birth in a hospital. I can't find any free standing birthing centers but I did find a practice that has both Dr.'s and midwives as well as classes and all sorts of other stuff. I figure I'll keep my appointment just to make sure everything is okay, then worry about choosing someone new afterwards.

I hope everyone has a very Happy New Year!! Have some drinks for me cuz let me tell ya, I am jonsin!!! :-)

Love,
Lee Ann

So Excited!!

This is my first entry and I'm exactly six weeks pregnant today!! Chris and I are so excited to be having our first child, although I don't know if he thinks it's real yet!! We got engaged last weekend but I'm not sure when the actual ceremony will be. We are looking for a new place to move to next month. We need a bigger place, one with a yard. I hope we find something nice and soon. Chris started a new job a few weeks ago and loves it! We are hoping it will bring in enough to support all of us once the baby comes. All and all things seem to be going good as far as the pregnancy. I have my first appointment two weeks from today. I'm going to see an OB/GYN that two of my past medical co-workers had when they were expecting and loved. I'm feeling okay for the most part. I can't believe how tired I am though!! I have a little bit of nausea but it's usually not too bad. I'm excited to rest and sleep the next four days since I have off for Christmas!

I hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas!!

Lee Ann :-)
