I'm going nuts waiting for my first OBGYN visit, which is scheduled for tomorrow at 2:30.
No one seems to be able to tell me exactly what they plan to do to me there. I was really hoping for an ultrasound or something, I want to hear the baby's heart beat! See if there's just one or 2...
According to my sister (who says she can't really remember) all they're going to do is a pap test? Is that right? I'm 10 weeks, are they going to check on the baby or what? I'll be sure to mention to the OBGYN that I've been bleeding for the last 2 weeks, maybe then I'll get to see baby!
Yesterday was terrible, I spent the whole day in agony, my abdomen was hurting everywhere! I could probably chalk it up to bad bloating and gas, but I was miserable all day. I also had a hard time keeping anything down, I managed to hold down half a glass of juice, half a glass of water and some perogies at suppertime. ~sorry baby~
Hopefully today my tummy is a little easier on me! I can't keep being dehydrated like this.

PAIN
What is with this pain? Tummy pain, hip pain, muscle cramps(charlie horse in the back of my calf), sore boobs, and the weirdest one so far is the rib pain. I've had some very period like cramps all day and night last night, accompanied by a little bit of bleeding. But again, my doctor just said not to worry about it, it's "fine"...maybe she thinks so but it's really making me worried! I just have 3 more days until the OBGYN appointment, but it's taking too long and I want to go Now! Maybe I'm just impatient but I need to know that baby is ok.
My ribs feel like someone took a baseball bat to them!! I've heard that a lack of vitamins can cause a few of those things to happen (like the leg cramps), but I've been taking my Materna vitamins and getting a lot of fruit and veggies even considering that not everything stays down.
My gorgeous boyfriend has been making me these fruit smooties with proteine powder since meat doesn't appeal to me these days. They're pretty good, he just uses proteine powder from the health food store, yogur,t fruit juice, and fresh or frozen fruit. They don't make me sick like so many other things have been.
I tried to have soup for supper tonight since my tummy was on the fritz all day, but apparently that was a bad idea because I was talking to Ralph on the big white phone after!
thank god for Chris and his magic smoothies!!
Does anyone know of a good way to keep hydrated, this seems to be my biggest challenge right now, too much liquid in my tummy sends me racing to the bathroom to get sick..
Hopefully this pain eases up, I'm not usually a weiner...I swear!

Not sick today...hmmm
I actually feel fine so far, after the past four weeks of waking up nauseated this is a nice surprise. Maybe the placenta is starting to kick in with it's own hormones? Or maybe I'm just lucky for now...
Has anyone else been sufferring from gas? LOL this is probably too much info... but damn!
I can't go 20 minutes without sneaking off to the bathroom to let a litle air out! What does it mean!!!!!!????? I was never even close to being this gassy before I got pregnant!
So a lot of people have been asking me about what we're going to name the baby(ies) and we really haven't thought too much about it, I really wanted to get out of the 3 month zone before we bought anything or picked names. Call me superstitious, but I believe it's bad luck to get anything for the baby including names before we know he or she is safe and healthy.
Chris's niece (who is only 2) Is adamant that we're naming the boy Johnathan and the girl Sarah. Which is really odd, since my mom had this weird thing happen to her a few weeks ago. She was laying in bed after waking up (she has arthritis so it takes her a bit to get moving sometimes) and with no tv or radio playing and no one home but her, she could have sworn she heard someone say loud and clear into her ear "SARAH". I know it's odd, and then Chris talked to his niece (who lives in an entirely different city) and she came out with the same name... Kinda spooky, but maybe that's what her name is supposed to be?!
We shall see :)
We'll know if it's twins on thursday after our OBGYN appointment, then I'll make sure to post again and let everyone know if there's one or two, and also if everything is ok.
Take Care!

First Entry
Well hello :)
This is my first entry here, and my first baby(ies) and this is all a new experience for me.
I'm 25 and my boyfriend is 29, we're both happy about the pregnancy, but both scared! We weren't planning for babies for at least 2 more years since I was still in school. I'm taking a year off now because College was really stressfull and we want our baby(ies) to be very healthy. We were going to get married before all of this too...so we're doing things a little out of order for now!
So far I'm 9 weeks pregnant (as far as we know). We have our first OBGYN appointment next thursday, and I have to admit I'm nervous and not really sure what to expect out of it. I'm sure they'll be able to confirm how big the baby is and such, other than that I have no clue what goes on there.
I've had morning sickness for 4 weeks already which is more like ALL day sickness! I've tried all the tricks, crackers, gingerale(flat), not drinking at meals etc.. but nothing is very helpful at this point, just trying to stay hydrated.
Also there's a big possibility that it's twins, since my boyfriend and I both have a large number of twins in both our families! I guess we'll find that out on thursday at the doctors. I've also heard that women with multiples tend to be worse on the morning sickness, so that would explain a few things!
I've had spotting on and off for the whole pregnancy so far, it's really freaking me out, but my doctor figures it's nothing since there's not much blood...anyone else experiencing the same thing? I would appreciate any advice at this point.
