Baby has arrived!

2007-02-01  (38 weeks)
38 Weeks, and still no baby

I guess being impatient at this point is pretty much the norm.

I have another obgyn appointment this afternoon. Hopefully she'll do something more than just measure my belly and send me on my way. I kind of would like her to check my cervix or something, see if I'm dialated at all, or if that's just wishful thinking.

I was up around 1am with these awful pelvic pains. It was a challenge just to get to the washroom.  I snap crackle and popped the whole waddle to the washrrom and back.

I think Raina is nice and cozy in my belly and just doesn't want to come out.

I'll post again after the doctors appointment.

getting closer

But not quite there yet...

I thought I was leaking amniotic fluid, turns out it's most likely a little urine leaking out from all the pushing on  my bladder. How embarrassing!!!

I can see why though, the baby has dropped so much, I can actually see the difference!  She's got her whole weight resting right on my bladder. Also I can breathe a little better now, I couldn't even bend over before, but it's much better now.

All this waiting and wondering is making me absolutely insane.  Every cramp and back pain makes me more anxious for her to come out. I've been having menstrual like pains for a couple of days, it must be getting closer to time.

I just finished making banana nut pancakes(it's 11pm) I ate one pancake and now I don't want them anymore....I'm a weirdo!!!! Chris laughed at me, he must think I'm NUTS.

Misery

It's now 1 am and for the fourth night in a row, I can't sleep.

I'm also sore in so many places, it's probably a shorter list to tell you where I'm not sore.

This lack of sleep and soreness is causing me to have, what I like to refer to as: PREGNANCY RAGE

I'm so anxious I could vomit.  Everything is stressing me out, including stupid things like not being able to put my own socks on. Then I'm snapping at people when it's tottally innapropriate.  Damn you hormones!!!

The obgyn appointment was fine today, other than the gyn being somewhat flighty... I asked her a question that she didn't really answer. She was also rushing the appointment because she was running late, which makes me angry, because I still had to wait for her, and show up.  It's not my fault she was running behind.

I'm sorry to anyone who I've offended this week with my rage problem!

Wishing everyone a good sleep tonight!!

36 Weeks

Well everything seems to be going really well. My last obgyn appointment went really fast, they checked my blood pressure, the baby's heart beat and measured my belly. I'm measuring a week smaller for some odd reason. she said I was measuring at 35 weeks rather than 36, but really how accurate is a measuring tape on the belly anyways?

I have another appointment next wednesday, as I'm now having to go every week.  Apparently they're going to swab my nether regions to see if I have Strep B or something.  If the test comes back positive then they have to run an antibiotic in my IV while I'm in labor. Fun fun fun...

Chris and I are going to take a trial run to the Rockyview soon to see how long it takes and what the easiest way is. We're also going to spend all day saturday rearranging things to make room for baby furniture and sort out what we're taking to my parents to store until we get a bigger place. It's going to be a little cramped for the first few months of Raina's life being in a 1 bedroom apartment.

Sue (Chris's sister) is comming out on Sunday to bring us the crib, change table, and a rocking chair.  Thank god we don't have to buy all that furniture!

I'll get Chris to take a new belly pic this weekend too...

~hugs~
