ARGH I had this post done and deleted it somehow by accident...here's try #2

So at the begginning of our prenatal classes a few weeks back the instructor asked for a show of hands of how many people knew what they were having. Surprisingly out of 15 couples there were only 2 that asked to find out. Us and one other couple who also knew they were having a girl.

One couple seemed nice, and they were interested in finding out what we were having and what names we had picked out for her. So we chatted for a bit and we revealed our baby names to them, Raina Denise is what we've had picked out since October. They commented on how pretty it was and then class started. Beleive me, naming a baby is a lot of work, there's so much thought that goes into it. For me it was a really intimate bonding time with Chris picking out names that we liked and talking about why or why not to choose them. Raina was the winner for both of us.

So last night at prenatal class this"interested" couple announces that they had a baby girl tuesday, and they named her "Reina"!!! I just about burst into tears on the spot. The bastards highjacked the name that we spent so much time deciding on. I was so mad I wanted to take my purse and whack him over the head with it, and then leave.

I can't believe that someone would do that!!! And now that they've had their baby first it's going to look to the rest of the class like we stole thier name!  I'm so mad I could spit! Is this anger rational? I mean seriously, I do have the right to be ticked, don't I???

Next time someone asks what we're naming her I'm going to lie and give them some stupid phoney names and laugh at them when they announce the birth of Buttercup!!!!!

I guess she's so comfy in there, that she'd rather just stay.

The OBGYN appointement went pretty good, I got a different doctor this time. She was nice, she didn't rush our appointment and she answered all of my questions.

So we have another appointment next thursday and if Raina hasn't made an appearance by then, they're going to induce me.  I'll be 40 weeks by then!!! I really didn't want to go overdue, I hope she decideds to come out on her own before then!

Well it's my 39 week appointment today, I hope this time is more productive than my last 2 visits. I guess I'll let you knwo when I get home tonight!

So I went for my 38 week appointment on thursday at the obgyn's office.

She just seems more interested in getting people in and out then actually doing anything. Again all I found out was that the baby has a heart beat of 150.  Oh yah and that I will have to have an IV with antibiotics during labor. She didn't tell me how far I was measuring or check me for dialation or effacement.  Obviously it's just not that important right now.

When I go for my appointment next week I'm going to ask why she hasn't done it yet.

Until then I'll just keep waddling around with a sore crotch!
