Baby has arrived!

2006-09-15  (18 weeks)
Week 18 :)

So 18 weeks is here already, and I still can't believe how much belly has popped out.  It feels like almost overnight I got this big bubble under my shirt.  I'm so happy that I have clothes to wear now.  Not fitting into my old stuff was starting to get pretty depressing. Having bigger boobs is kind of fun, but the belly keeps catching up lol!

I finally broke down a few weeks ago and bought some bras that were a cup size bigger, thinking that they would last me until I need nursing bras. I don't think I'll be in this bra size for much longer before I need to go up yet another size... LOL... I always wanted bigger boobs, but this is rediculous!

I can't wait until next friday!!!!! Hopefully at that ultrasound Chris and I will get to find out if our baby is a boy or a girl.  I'm so excited about that!  My mom and I were talking yesterday about how we need to find out because she keeps seeing "the cutest stuff to buy". I'm glad that she's starting to get excited for us.

I should finish getting ready for work, ta-ta for now!

Almost 18 weeks!

So tomorrow will be the 18 week mark...time has been flying SO fast!

I started my job at Motherhood Maternity last week. I'm really enjoying it there, and as an added bonus I can shop while I work since I get to unpack the new stock. I already bought 3 shirts and a pack of (super comfy) maternity bikini style undies.  Money well spent!

Last week from Thursday to Sunday, Chris and I went to Kelowna for Kate's wedding. It was absolutely beautiful, and I've never ever seen a more stunningly gorgeous bride. I'm posting a picture of me in my bridesmaid dress, along with a new belly photo taken on Saturday.  As Kate's gifts for the bridesmaids, she took us to the spa.  They did a full body exfoliation and a warm stone massage... 90 minutes of pure heaven!!!

Everybody was really nice, and so much fun.  Everyone seemed to be super extra talented too, I mean musically. Everyone could either sing or play an instrument, or both!  Jasmine sang and played the guitar and Kate played the piano while her brother Mark sang..it was like Pavarotti (sp?) mixed with an angel...that was tyhe second time I cried that day! The first was during the toasts. I almost lost it during the ceremony but somhow I managed to hold it together.  It was a really great time.

This is gettng long, I'll stop before you fall asleep... Check out my new pics in my photo album :)

16 Weeks...

Well I must be in that weird in between stage where I don't feel pregnant. Aside from the little belly and some occasional sickness I feel like I did before I got pregnant...Just like me.

I start my job next week at the Maternity store, not my regular site though. I'll be setting up the other store next week. My location won't be open now until the 28th of September.

I'm hoping the pay is about $10/hour, cause I don't want to work for less than that. But at least I get discounts on my clothes!

I have a wedding to attend for one of my best friends, Kate next weekend. I had to have my gown altered to fit my growing tummy into. The dress looks really nice and you can barely even tell I'm pregnant in it.  I wonder how huge my tummy will be at 9 months!?!?!

I'm getting antsy, I can't wait to go see Kate WOOHOO!

2006-08-23  (15 weeks)
15 Weeks already!?!?

I can't believe how quickly the time is going by.  15 weeks seemed so far away!

I'm having days where the medication doesn't work very well and I'm still sick to my stomache. I try to ignore it, but it's hard to do sometimes. Other than that, just cramps, and some awful headaches.  They don't last for too long though, so it's ok.

Chris's parents came out for a few days this weekend. Our parents met for the first time over dinner. Everyone seemd like they were having a good time, so we suggested coffee afterwards.  Everything went really well.  It's really about time they met too, Chris and I have been together for almost 19 months.

Chris and I talked a little more about the baby's last name and decided that the baby would have his last name.  He says he plans to marry me anyways so it will save us a lot of trouble in the long run.

I wonder if our baby's eyes will be blue or green....
