Spring Break

This week I went to Florida for spring break. It was so incredibly relaxing. Exactly what I needed. I have 3 months until the end of the school year at which time I am officially off for the summer. I have entered the "must organize and clean everything" stage hence our basement looking a bit crazy at the moment with boxes of holiday decorations, trash, and possible yard sale items.

Little Tony is doing quite well. He seemed to enjoy the plane ride and the beach :) He's up a lot and was on a schedule last week. Of course that has changed this week. He seems to like music and moves a lot whenever there is something good to listen to. Time to start the Mozart :)

I'm hungry all the time. Although my belly is getting bigger, I don't feel like I'm gaining all that much extra weight elsewhere (thus far). Definitely craving a lot of meat and ice cream. Hamburgers always sound really yummy. Unfortunately today being Good Friday it's no meat today. Tomorrow!

Time to get back to organizing before time to go pick up Ed at the metro :)

Senor Tango

I'm hoping that this entry actually saves. I've tried to post several times in the past month and nothing has saved. It has been quite an eventful month though!

First things first! We had the big ultrasound last week and...

It's a boy!!!

Ed was so happy he cried (well, got very emotional) :)

Everything looks perfectly healthy too!

This afternoon I felt "Little Tony" move for the first time!!! He's been dancing around ever since too! I told Ed we should start calling him Tiny Dancer, but he prefers Senor Tango... whatever we decide, he's totally having a fiesta down there!

I'll post new pictures when I get a chance. I got a TON from the ultrasound last week!!!

This Friday is spring break and we're heading to sunny and warm Florida. YAY!!! I can't wait to relax on the beach!!!

My goal over the next week is to start our baby scrapbook. Our fridge is covered in pictures already and we're only half way through the pregnancy (well as of tomorrow!)

rough week...

So this past week was one that I would like to soon forget...

Ed was out of town :(

I got a stomach flu (I think from one of my students) which left me incredibly ill for an entire day and in the emergency room for most of the night... Fortunately Ed's mom was here so she was able to help take care of me

I do not enjoy being dehydrated... H2O and gatorade are my friends...

Tonight (4 days post ER) I'm actually starting to feel more like myself... well my pregnant self anyway

I went to the doctor on Friday to make sure that baby is ok after the horrible-ness that was last Wednesday and of course the little peanut's heart was just beating away at 160 bpm...

I ordered some maternity clothes today since my regular shirts are starting to get too snug for comfort...

I need to start gaining weight. So far I've gained a pound. I actually gained more, but last week was a set back. I read somewhere that if you're not gaining enough weight you should have a milkshake everyday for the extra calories. I like this idea... :)

Ed is leaving again in the morning for CA :( But his mom is coming tomorrow and Danielle and Jason will be here on Thursday so I won't have to be alone this week :)

I turn 4 months this week! Time to start getting fat! Yay!

knocked up

Last night Ed and I watched "Knocked Up". Very funny aside from the birthing scene. That really was not so much fun. After the movie, we had an eye opening conversation about the umbilical cord. Apparently my suggesting that someone (and possibly the father) needed to cut said cord was too much for my husband to take. He had never heard of this before and needed a few minutes and phone call to his mom to calm him down. I guess that it is possible for dads to be just as nervous/scared about all of this as moms.

On a brighter note, I am feeling much better this week. The extra vitamin and medication have really helped a lot. Getting up in the morning is still tough but mostly because I'm so sleepy. I haven't felt nauseous in a few days. Thank goodness! I have felt more tired and fall asleep very early (much to Ed's dismay).

Ed is going out of town on business for the next 2 weeks. It will be fun to see how much my tummy grows while he's gone! I'll also be able to get a lot of sleep!!!

I made the appointment for the level 2 ultrasound in a few weeks so that we can find out if baby is a boy or a girl!
