3 Friday's To Go!!!

I'm definitely earning the time off from work... I'm quite sleepy at the moment, but trying to rest before heading out for an incredible evening...

We're going to see the Red Sox tonight at Camden Yards... Tony has been excited and bouncing up into my ribs all day long (not the most comfortable feeling)... Manny is at 499 and I have a feeling that tonight is the night!!! We have incredible seats that Ed managed to get for us!!! I can't wait!!!

CT was fun last weekend even though we spent more time in Rhode Island than in CT trying to get a non-maternity dress to fit over an almost 8 month pregnant belly... it was interesting. The big wedding is next Sunday!

I do have a preggy picture, but can't seem to get it to load here at school, so I'll try to get to that this weekend if I get a chance.

10 weeks to go!

Everything is looking great! Yesterday I went for the 30 week check up and all is well. The nurse took one look at my stomach and said "no way!" then added "I bet you've been hearing that a lot". So far I've gained 20 "subtle" lbs and am doing much better since starting to take extra iron. Tony is bouncing around 24-7 and is responsive to outside stimuli! He loves watching the Red Sox already and always gets very still when Manny comes up to bat (498!)! He also really enjoyed Aunt Mary's birthday cake last Saturday night!

As of this moment there are only 21 days until the end of the school year! I'm excited for the year to end and then I can focus on preparing for the rollercoaster of parenting! I've been thinking a lot about the birth and which route to take. I've heard that the drugs pre epidural are good, but don't do the epidural. I've heard that I'm young and healthy so I should go "for the gold" (apparently natural childbirth is like an Olympic event to some people). I've heard "screw it, get a c-section because you get longer disability for leave since the recovery time is longer. I think that for Ed's sake I should do something other than go all out natural, but I'm not really set yet.

I can't believe that he'll be here in just a few weeks! I'm still not very big yet! So far he's a little guy, but he's already showing that he's taking after his father... yes it's true... I'm in trouble, just like Uncle Paul predicted... *sigh*. He's not even born yet!

I can't wait to be able to eat nachos again. I don't really care about the fact that eggs just totally gross me out right now, but nachos! Ah the cheesy, glorious, amerimexican goodness I miss thee!

I'm heading up to CT this weekend for Chelsea's bridal shower and to get the bridesmaids dress fitted. I should have preggy pics to post afterward! Yay!

PS VERY excited for the American Idol finale this evening :) Yay for David Cook! (sorry! guilty pleasure moment!)

Third Trimester!

Life has been quite hectic the past month. From getting our house ready to go on the market to the insanity of working, I've been trying to sleep when I can which unfortunately leaves me no time for anything fun like baby planning :(

I know that most people have not seen me, but there wasn't much to see belly wise until last week when my little basketball inflated a little bit more (before that I just looked like I needed to go to the gym really badly). This afternoon we had a staff mtg and one of the other teachers saw my tummy and did a double take then asks "holy crap, when did you get pregnant?" in the middle of the meeting... giggles erupted and someone else answered "you're only 7 months late in getting that memo"... it was funny and slightly embarrassing, but reassuring that I'm definitely pregnant and not "wow she's let herself go"... :)

Today I'm looking to focus on the postive...

Top 10 :)

#1 - 3rd trimester starts this week!!! yay!!! Little Tony will be here before we know it!!!

#2 - SCSU FINALLY has all of their ridiculous paperwork in place so that I can actually graduate... it only 5 months... I can't believe it!!!

#3 - 28 school days left in the year and then it is time to put this CRAZY year behind me

#4 - the house is almost ready...

#5 - Danielle is hard at work planning a baby shower that I'm super excited about!!! July 6th :)

#6 - Chelsea's wedding is less than a month away and I'm still not too big so the dress might actually look ok!

#7 - Piper(one of our cats) is moving to NJ this weekend

#8 - Just knowing that if I don't feel like I need/should be working anymore all it takes is a phone call and I'm on leave is a HUGE stress relief

#9 - I think my iron levels are settling back where they should be (they were low so I had to start taking a supplement last week) because I'm starting to feel a little better - is that what energy feels like?

#10 - American Idol is down to the top 3 and I'm SOOOO excited (guilty pleasure!)

Time to go pick up Ed...

I'm still working on a belly picture... I need to find someone down here with a digital camera and remember to ask them :)

Being Productive...

Yes, it's true. Today we are busy cleaning and packing, getting ready to put a lot of our stuff into storage and get the house ready to put on the market. We actually went and got boxes! Not to mention that the Red Sox just beat the Rangers in spectacular fashion so we are even more energized to get stuff done :) Go Sox! I'm really looking forward to having less clutter and random tubs around the house by the end of the week. Having everything out and around the house is really driving me crazy.

I got my "you're 26 weeks pregnant" email today. Even though I have 2 days left until we're officially 26 weeks, but I still get excited :) Crazy that we're almost to the third trimester... Anywho, the main topic of the email was about mood swings and changes including a top 10 list of things not to say to a pregnant woman. Funny because it's totally true. I'm trying really hard to stay in control, but really it's just not happening. My biggest emotional hurdle at the moment is my inability to keep my mouth shut or sugar coat anything that I'm trying to say. This definitely has it's advantages and it's disadvantages. Note to whomever may have a conversation with me in the next few months: don't ask me a question that you don't want an honest answer to i.e. does this make me look fat because chances are that if you were asking then it probably isn't the most flattering piece of fabric on your figure and I'm probably going to piss you off by saying so. You've been warned. I can't control it.

We went to a home theater and bar supplies shop (that just happened to be next to the box place) and got some ideas for the Red Sox bar. It's going to be incredible. I can't wait to have everything finished and enjoy a nice glass of wine at the bar :) *Sigh* Even better though, the guy at the store told us about their website having a custom planner so we could play around with dimensions. So we took a look when we got home and it is the coolest tool ever. You can plan out any type of room you can think of. They have icons for everything from furniture to plants to rugs to cats. We laid out our bedroom, the baby's room, and the library. So exciting!

Ok, I've taken a break long enough. Time to get back to packing/cleaning!
