If you go by the Chinese Lunar Calendar my baby is going to be a GIRL.  Apparently it's 99% accurate.  I guess we'll find out in August!  All I had to do was cross reference my age with the month of conception.  Hmmm, who knew? 

But then again...there are all of these other theories!  Of course, there are things on both of these lists that apply to me:

You’re going to have a boy if:

You are carrying the extra weight out front
Your belly looks like a basketball
You are carrying low
Your feet are colder than they were before pregnancy
Your pillow faces north when you sleep
Dad-to-be is gaining weight, right along with you
Pregnancy has you looking better than ever
Your nose is spreading
You are having headaches
You add your age at the time of conception and the number for the month you conceived and the sum is an even number

It's a girl if:

You had morning sickness early in pregnancy
You are carrying high
Your belly looks like a watermelon
You are craving sweets 
You are moodier than usual during pregnancy
Your face breaks out more than usual
You refuse to eat the heel of a loaf of bread
Your breasts have really blossomed! 

Ok, before I was kind of wishy-washy on whether or not I was feeling the baby move.  Every time I thought I felt something it was so quick that it was hard to tell either way, or I thought  maybe it was just gas or something, LOL.

Well last night I was laying on the couch and Dan was making fun of me for having my hands resting on my tummy. (He was doing it in a fun way, of course.)  I explained that I thought I was feeling something but wasn't sure.

Then I took his hand and put it on my stomach - and he got hoofed!  It was a definite "kick" or elbow...or movement of some sort!  It was very exciting.  I could continue to feel it move after that even though he couldn't.  Since then I've been feeling some smaller movements.

I can't wait for the next round!

Alright it started on Saturday at a family gathering when my cousin said (Joking, of course)..."Move over tubby and make room on that couch for me."  It continued yesterday when someone very high up at my office said "Wow you're getting fat!"  (He knows I'm pregnant)  And again today...my direct boss saying "Look at you, pudging out."

And they were all men. Seriously, are men so daft that they think this is funny?  Sure, I laugh it off but in a huge crowd what else am I going to do??

Sensitivity guys, come on!!!

This afternoon I had my 21 week check up.  It was a quick one...but long enough for me to learn that my ultrasound and IPS test results had not been sent to my OB's office.  Instead they had gone to my GP's office, so we were not able to discuss the results - which sort of disappointed me.  I have no reason to believe that anything is wrong but the reassurance is always nice! (And ok - confession - I saw something on my last ultrasound which to me looked like a 2nd nose on the baby.)

The good news is that I got to hear the heartbeat again which amazes me every time.  I'm not sure if it's my imagination or not, but it seems a little slower each time I hear it.

Anyway everything appears to be fine, and when I got to the office I called my GP for the results and she said that she is sending over all of my results, and that it all looked fine.  What a relief!

I also asked which allergy medication I can use this spring for my seasonal allergies...and learned that there is nothing I can take.  It's gonna be a long spring!

Next appointment is May 1.  In the meantime we've gotten the baby's room ready to fix up...and Daddy to be is off this Wed-Fri so he's going to start working on it.  I'm very excited to see it when it comes together and the baby stuff is no longer a random pile of boxes in our spare room.
