Taking Inventory
Ok here's an awkward topic for ya! A litle birdie told me that there was a shower being planned, but I have no idea where, when or even who's hosting it! But if you're reading this chances are you might know! So...I wanted to pass along that I've completed my registry at Babies R Us. (I opened it right after I found out about the baby...and did some editing and updating on it last night.) It is under my name and also Dan's.
We already have a few really cute outfits that the baby got for Christmas...and also a few sleepers that I've bought along the way. (I had to get something the day I found out I was pregnant!)
The baby's first (and hopefully favourite) teddy bear was a Valentine's Day gift from Daddy to be, we went to Build A Bear workshop and had a fuzzy brown bear made. He's wearing overalls and a Maple Leafs jersey...and he has a heart inside him too!
I've been a bit of an online shopping nut this past little while! I have purchased all of the bedding for the crib, with matching hamper, curtain, stuffed monkey and even a little rug. Oh yeah and a lamp too! And that hangy thing that holds a stack of diapers. I forget what it's called.
I found some great deals on other practical things as well, such as bottles, bottle sterilizer and a bottle warmer. (yep...bought those too.) And a baby bath tub, jolly jumper and breast feeding pillow, all on sale at The Bay! Oooh...and I found a collection of kids Disney books in Ebay so I bought that too. 
But I'm making myself stop with the shopping now until after the shower!
Things I got in that load of used stuff include:
*Playpen, highchair, stroller, car seat, plastic sled, swing for outside, odds and ends such as used sleepers and blankets, the new version of what used to be a walker (without wheels), vibrating loungey chair
*Crib and change table are on their way...
Things I still need include: (Most of the practical stufff!),,,feel free to add in stuff I'm missing!!!!
*Baby washclothes and towels, bath products, nail clippers, sleepers, receiving blankets, diapers, baby wipes, breast pump
Things I'd like to still get:
*Rocking chair for the nursery, baby swing for inside, we're thinking of a 2nd car seat so there is one in each vehicle,and of course some fun little toys...
Update: I'm getting a hand me down swing for inside, and I think we've decided that we won't need the 2nd car seat after all...and now we have a diaper bag too! |
