Things That I Miss While Pregnant

I saw this online and thought it would be fun to do my own list.

Things that I miss:

*Sleeping Through The Night.  I know, baby's not even here yet...but I'm up all the time peeing.  I don't even know how one person can pass so much urine.

*My Bum.  I know, before I thought it was too big.  But now, it's completely gone!!!  If it wasn't for my belly my pants would fall right off.

*My Memory. I go grocery shopping and forget my purse.  I get into work and realize I've forgotten my tea.  I go to grab lunch in the cafeteria with no wallet.  I could go on and on.

*My Favourite Jeans. Maternity jeans with elastic waist are great - but it always felt great to slip on my favourite comfy jeans!

*My Feet. I'm sure they're still there, but it's much more  of a chore to see them now.

*Having a Drink. Going for a pint after work or drinks and dancing with the girls!  Haven't had a drink since November...and patio season is upon us!

*Not Grunting Every Time I Get Up.  Self explainatory.

*My Sanity. This being over-emotional thing is getting old. And I wasn't overly stable to start with!

Week 24!

Hi Everyone!

Not a lot to report this week.  The only real change has been in my ever-growing belly!  And the movement, which I'm feeling much more regularly these days.  Unfortanately the little one seems to be a bit stubborn (I can't imagine where he/she gets that from.)  Whenever Dan puts his hand on my tummy to feel, it stops.  I guess she/he is just shy.  Maybe once he/she's a bit bigger he will feel it more.  Dan told me the other night that he's pretty sure I'm making it all up, that the tummy is actually from McChickens.    Brat.

Anyway we had a great weekend despite a little bit of rain - did lots of playing at the dog park and got the gardens ready for planting.  I'm very excited to plant flowers this year!  I can't seem to stop buying them for the inside of the house either.  Must be a nesting thing.  Or a spring thing.  Who knows?

Anyway I hope everyone is doing well...until next week!

Ugh I feel Pregnant.

Not to be overly whiney...but today was tough.  I didn't want to get out of bed and I was woken up early by A) the puppy sitting outside my door B) the cats wanting food C) Getting up to pee every five minutes.

I finally dragged myself out of bed (12 hours after I crawled in) and felt like I had gotten no sleep.  I hope it's not like this until August!!

Other than that, all is well for me and hopefully you too!

Week 23 - Maternity Photos and More Stuff

Well here I am entering week 23.  Last week was pretty uneventful baby - wise...I did get a call from my doctor's office saying that my health card was being declined...but that's all straightened out now.  Turns out that they had issued me a new one  after my last move which I didn't receive...so they just cancelled the old one!  Anwyay another new one is on it's way and hopefully I'll have it by my next appointment (May 1).

It was great to see most of my immediate family this weekend, and they've been busy shopping!  Mom got a really adorable sleeper for "The Spoiled Baby" as she calls him/her, along with diapers, wipes and cream...and Aunt Julie bought us this really funky lime green diaper bag, which I used to bring home cookies from Grandma and jam from Mom.

Grandpa Bruce and Grandma Shannon dropped by our place Saturday night for a visit, and got to inspect Dan's handy work in the nursery. (He's started to put up the trim and it looks great already!)

I'm going to go ahead and schedule a maternity photo shoot.  I found a photographer whose work I really like so I'm going to try to get a shoot around June 1, when I'm at about 30 weeks.  (Yes, I'll be dragging Daddy to be along too)  Hopefully the pictures will turn out well and will be a nice way to remember my first pregnancy.

Nothing else to report!  Until next week (or sooner if I have another random thought...)

Lisa
