Hi Everyone!

I had my 37 week appointment this morning (well, technically I'm 37 weeks tomorrow...but anyway...) and everything with the baby is good.  Belly is measuring well, the heart beat was nice and strong and regular, my weight's up AGAIN (I've stopped doing the math to see how much I've gained, ha ha).

The not great news is that I tested positive for Group B Strep - which means that I carry a certain bacteria that may be passed along to the baby during delivery. It's very common and not a big concern, it just means that during labour I have to have antibiotics through an IV to protect the baby from getting sick.  The chances of it being passed to the baby are very low, 1 in 4000 if I get the antibiotics in time (as soon as my water breaks and/or active labour starts.)

So my doctor is now on holidays for the next two weeks so next week I go see a new doctor, and the following week another different doctor, but the third week my doctor is back and she said if there's no baby by then we'll have to work out a "plan"!!  So, I guess that means in 3 weeks or less, we'll be parents!!  I can't believe how quickly everything has gone.

Hello everyone!

I hope everyone is doing well!!

Well here we are - 36 weeks!  Next week I will be considered full term, how exciting is that???

We've been enjoying some downtime now that the showers and baby classes and everything else are finished so I honestly don't have too much to report baby-wise!

I have an appointment next Wednesday so I will post another update then!  Take care!!

Well hello everyone!

I can't believe it's Thursday already I've been slacking!!  Anyway I hope everyone had a great Canada Day and (sort of) long weekend.

I had another check up yesterday morning which I'm happy to report was quick and uneventful.  I go back in two weeks and then it's every week after that!

We went on our Babymoon last weekend and it was great!  It was at Beaver Creek Resort near Bancroft, and we both fell in love with the place!  We've decided to book it for our wedding - September 2009 (We'll be a bit busy this September, LOL!)

Hi Everybody!

(I finally added pics from the family shower, so check 'em out in the photo album!)

Well this week baby is the size of a cantaloupe.  He/she is getting so big!  The good news is that if for whatever reason Cletus arrives early, chances are everything is developed enough that he'd be just fine.  YAY!!

This weekend we had the last of our pre-natal classes - we covered post-partum care, breastfeeding, bathing and diapering.  I'm glad to have that out of the way!  This weekend is our weekend away, and other than that I have nothing planned for July except RELAXING.  YAY!  Can you tell how much I'm looking forward to that??

I have pretty much everything ready to go (I think!) - the clothes/towels/blankets/etc have all been washed, folded and put away, and I even packed my hospital bag!  I figure even if it sits there for weeks, it's better to not have it always in the back of my mind, on my "To Do" list.

Next Wednesday, July 2nd I have another appointment with my OB and after that it will be once awake until Cletus is born.  It's hard to believe how fast the time is going!
