Okay so I'm in agony. My feet get so swollen over the course of the day that none of my shoes fit. I bought a size 10 dress shoe to wear to work. They were wide enough but kept falling off because they are too long. So I got insoles and now they are too tight. I also bought a pair of flats and they get too tight throughout the day. My feet look like they have mutated. Then today I noticed that my legs are pretty swollen too. My knees are really swollen. At my doctor's appointment yesterday they told me my blood pressure is a little high. So because of that and the swelling they are going to keep an eye on me. So I see my family doctor on Friday next week, then on the 15th I go see the baby doctor.
So the thing bugging me even more than my feet is the pain when I walk. With every step I take I feel like I'm being kicked in the crotch. Sometimes it's so painful when I try and get up off the couch or turn over in bed that I can't help but wince and yell out. So I'm limping around work and look like a dork and can't really tell everyone where it hurts haha. I mentioned it to the doctor and he's like is it in the vagina or (I forget what he said). I'm like it's in my vagina, like in the middle and sometimes on the outside. He said that your pelvic bones come together and are met by tissue, and with the baby putting extra pressure on it could be making it hurt. Plus he said everything is stretching right now as well. Seriously though, sometimes I can't even walk it hurts so bad. So I'm really not looking forward to contractions if I already can't walk haha.
We have been to two baby classes so far. We had a different lady for our second class cause the usual teacher couldn't make it. She was sooooo funny. I wish she was our teacher for all the classes. We have learned quite a bit so far and the classes are fun. Yesterday's class was pretty much learn how to massage mom during labour. So I really enjoyed this class. Jeremy really needs to learn some massaging skills though haha, he's so bad at it. He has these like giant hands, it's like honey I'm a fragile little girl (haha right). So I think I'll get him to use the new massager I bought or the two tennis balls in a sock trick that we learned in class :)
So I guess other than the feet and crotch pain (funny but it sucks) I'm doing pretty good. I also have the normal aches and pains that come with pregnancy. Oh and of course the exhaustion. I'm glad I haven't had any weird complications or been super sick.
The baby shower was amazing. It was so awesome to celebrate with everyone. About 30 people showed up. I opened presents for over an hour and had to rush. I couldn't even read the cards. I was blown away by how generous everyone was. I feel so loved. The baby is going to be so loved and adored :) I'm so lucky to have such wonderful friends and family. The nursery is crammed with stuff. I am hoping to paint this weekend and organize things a little better. Whoo hoo :)
I can't wait to meet our little one and see what she looks like. I am getting pretty freaked about the delivery. I'm not looking forward to being in pain for hours and hours. We watched a birthing video in class yesterday. It wasn't too graphic or anything and I thought the woman giving birth was quite the trooper. She did keep saying I can't do this I can't do this. That's gonna be me. But I have no choice haha, the baby is gonna come out whether I like it or not. Can't keep her in there forever lol.

Very swollen feet...owwww
It's getting really hard to deal with how swollen my feet are most days. Let alone looking really gross so I can't wear cute sandals and capris, they hurt. I have tried everything to help the swelling. It gets a little better for a bit but not for long. I bought new dress shoes, size 10! They are wide enough but too long so they kept falling off. So I got insoles for them and now they are too tight and make the swelling worse. I also bought some flats but my feet get really swollen and then they pinch. I think I am going to opt for flip flops cause that's all I'll be able to get my feet into. Work will just haveto accept that haha.
Other than that things are going pretty goo. Been having some braxton hicks contractions and she's kicking my insides like crazy still. My hopes are that I carry her full term and she pops out nice and healthy :)
My baby shower is on Sunday and I'm really looking forward to it. It will be nice to see everyone that I don't get too see often.

Update So I forgot to update everyone. I found out the results of my second round of testing for gestational diabetes and everything came back normal. So that is a relief. She is still kicking around like crazy in there. My belly looks like theres an earthquake in it sometimes haha.
I have a strong feeling she is going to be born early. I'm a very impatient person so I used to want this to happen. However with the house situation the way it's going I'm not so sure. We have had no luck at all on welist.com so we have met with a realtor. She wants us to make our home look as show home as possible. We are going to be doing "staging". So this means way more work for me. We haveto pack up a bunch of stuff, try and store it at my parent's place, and be without alot of our personal belongings for awhile. If it helps sell the house faster then it's worth it at least. I'm hating this Calgary housing market right now. We should have tried selling months ago. Oh well can't turn back time.
Keep your fingers crossed for me everyone. We want to sell the house and be moved into something better before the baby comes. Wishful thinking? Yes I know haha.
We have decided that we really want to move to the McKenzie Towne area. Then we will be closer to Jeremy's parent's and alot closer to his brother. Then we will still be relatively close to our friends as well. I'm just worried about finding something in that area in our price range for what we want and need in a home. Once a home goes on the market in that neighbourhood it doesn't last long.
