Feeling good...

I've been pretty bad at updating lately... just so busy!  I've been feeling awesome and love seeing my belly stick out more and more.  It's so comforting to see the growth since movements are still random and kind of far apart.  The big news this past week is we found out we're having a girl! Both DH and I are excited and it's cute to catch him looking at girls names on the computer when he has some down time.  We got some great pictures from the ultrasound and have created our own version of a baby book that just has a collection of all of her pictures so far.  I plan on adding a few of myself looking extra pregnant and hope to save it to show her one day.

We took our first trip to Babies R Us since becoming pregnant and just kind of wandered out.  DH was mostly into checking out the travel systems and we found 2 that we both like.  Now we're trying to decide if we want a crib and a changing table or just one or the other.  We know for sure that we want a glider with an ottoman to keep in the other room for those nights that one of us will be up trying to get her back to sleep.  It's hard to believe that Friday will mark the half way point.  I have a feeling the second half is going to fly by since we have the holdays approaching.

Next Wednesday we go out on our cruise for 8 days.  It will be so nice to get away and just have some time to relax.  I've been busting my butt at work to get everything done and taken care so hopefully nothing will come up while I'm gone.  Well I'll be sure to make my weekly picture and get it posted along with some of the ultrasound pictures.  I just love looking at them!!

17 Weeks!!
Wow... only 2 more weeks until the ultrasound.  I've been feeling great this week.  Energy is good and appetite is steadily increasing, although it does disappear at times.  I love that my stomach is pushing out so that a few people are starting to ask.  I guess that means I'm getting passed the fat stage and into the cute baby bump phase.  Still no names... waiting until after the big ultrasound to really start thinking about all of that.  We haven't even bought one thing for the baby yet, although we have received three gifts.  I also have to go and buy my first official pair of maternity pants this weekend.  My work pants are starting to hurt when I sit down so I decided it's time to go shopping!  Might have to pick up a belly band too, to help me out with my jeans that are tightening up.

16 Weeks!

Wow... I can't believe it's 4 months along already.  At this point the little one is still an "it".  The ultrasound is only 3 weeks away but it seems like time is standing still.  At this point I'm still thinking it's going to be a girl, just based off of my one and only dream about a baby.  Of course my husband is still hoping for a boy... typical man!  I still think that I would be happy either way.  I just want a healthy baby after everything we went through to even get pregnant.  And I know my husband would be happy too... secretly I think he might even like having a girl better.  She would be a spoiled little daddy's girl and he would simply adore her.

I've been feeling pretty good.  My energy is coming back a little bit at a time, so I've actually been wanting to get out of the house for short periods of time instead of sleeping the days away.  My nausea is nearly non-existent... only 2 bad mornings in the last 5 weeks.  And my belly is pushing out!  I think that's the part I am most excited about.  I love being able to see this pregnancy and how my husband is so excited to see it.  I can't wait until I can feel the little one inside of me and then eventually have DH feel.  I think he might cry when he does... he's just been extra excited lately.  So... 3 weeks to ultrasound, just short of 4 to the doctor appointment and only 33 days till the cruise.  Soooo excited!!

15 Weeks!!

Well today marks 15 weeks.  I am constantly amazed at how fast this seems to be going by, but then when you look forward you feel like you're going in slow motion.  Four weeks from today is the big ultrasound where we will hopefully be able to determine the gender.  My stomach seems to have pushed out a little to where it's actually noticeable for people that know me.  For everyone who doesn't, they probably think I've just got some extra cushion around my mid-section.

I've been feeling pretty good.  I'm not nearly as tired anymore and the nausea has really dropped off (other than those 1 or 2 random times it decides to flare up).  I have started needing to pee a lot more.  I've found that if I remain sitting I'm fine, but the second I stand up I have to run to a bathroom.  My stomach gets harder everyday and it's funny to see how it feels when I change positions.  It's just amazing to see your body go through all these changes in order to prepare for a baby.  It's so different to feel it than to see it happen to someone else.  You think you're prepared and you'll know what to expect, but until it's you you're completely in the dark.  And besides, no one can prepare you for when those hormones hit...
