The first time I felt you kick:
Tuesday, March 11 at 16 weeks pregnant.
|
|
| |
It felt like:
Little ticklish flutters low in my abdomen. The kicks were pretty intermittent at first but strong and often now at 19 weeks.

I felt:
Wonder at the miracle of life inside me. Surprised to feel the baby so early. The beginnings of a bond with the baby.

The strangest food craving I've had is:
A nightly bowl of cereal. Carrot sticks top my list during the day.

This month's prenatal visit taught me that:
I am a wimp when it comes to all things bloody. My midwife took 5 vials of blood to run standard tests and by the third I was nauseous and unable to hear and ready to pass out. Not fun at all! But at least insurance should be coming through soon with the necessary authorizations for coverage.

My hopes:
I'm still able to have a home birth in Minnesota. Moving in the last trimester does not create too much stress on my body and the baby.
|
|
| |
My fears:
Starting over in a new place with a 2 year old and newborn. Lack of daily support once we move.
