Baby has arrived!

Advice on preeclampsia....anyone?
Ok..... as if i didn't have enough scares during my preggo times....i have yet another one....here's the story...

So...today i went to my 36 week appointment. And my blood pressure was measuring at a whopping 153/103 ... which was EXTREMELY high and strange for me...especially since my blood pressure is always at a wonderfully steady and beautiful 128/75... so ... my OB ordered blood and urine tests and for me to go immediately to labor and delivery to have the baby monitored and my blood pressure be monitored as well. Well...my blood pressure fluctuated...but not enough for them to be happy...it ended up being 147/100...which was better than i started with...but still really high. So...i have to do a 24-hour urine test...in which i collect ALL my urine for 24 hours. Then i take it back, and i go back to labor and delivery to be monitored again.

IF it turns out that i have protein in my urine.... there may be a possibility that they'll have to induce me. Unless they really wanted to try to give me magnesium to lower my blood pressure. .. BUT because i'm already at 36 weeks plus .... they may just induce me....baby is old enough.... but we won't know that until my urine test results. The good thing is that i'm already at 36 weeks......

i'm just a little bit worried....but i can't get too worried because that can cause my blood pressure to rise. So...for now until further notice...i'm on bed rest. Cross your fingers.

updates....
another update blog.... (i'll make it quick!)

So...on Thursday we closed on the house!!! And then that night my parents came up here to see us...with a lot of stuff for the baby AND the a washer and dryer!! It took them 8 hours to get here...when it SHOULD have taken them about 5....but they did come with a trailer attached to their car....

Anyway...then Friday my husband left work early with 2 of the his co-workers to help us move... in a matter of 3 hours we were moved into the new townhouse.... with the exception of a few items that were left in the apartment (which are still there).

Ok... my parents stayed here until Monday afternoon. They bought us the stroller/car seat combo!! YAY! AND my dad helped my Hubby put up all the fans in all the rooms...and hook up the washer and dryer...while me and my mom hung out...because my feet were swollen the entire time.... and i wasn't allowed to lift anything...lol haha!

NOW the house is a mess...but that's ok. And when they left...i was a bit emotional...BUT my mom comes back in 3 weeks to stay with me until the baby comes...to help me around the house while my hubby is at work... ;P And my sister and her BF will be coming to drop her off hopefully and staying a few days ;) And then when i go into labor...my dad and sis and her bf will come here and then my mom and all of them will go back home...

Baby/Mommy updates...

I've started feeling a LOT of pressure down in my pelvic area....it almost feels like my cramps.... ;(  And i just don't know what it is.... my mom says it's the baby pushing down....and it does happen when i feel him pushing on my stomach with his knees...as if he is stretching....

YAY 36 weeks......that means i got  4 weeks left ... that's 28 days....until my due date... it's pretty scary! i'm sooo scared of labor!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Baby Boot Camp & More
Ok....lots of updates today!!!

Let's me start off with the most recent. Today Me and the husband went to a class at the naval hospital. This first one (of three) is called Baby Boot Camp. Well...first off we were in a VERY cold room.... I kept having goosebumps all over.. Anywho....on with the class. The same nurse that we had during our prenatal care class way at the beginning (in feb.....omg!....that's a long time ago!) was there giving this class. So....she started off showing us how to do infant cpr and the heimlich maneuver....which is pretty good to see how it was done...I had taken a class a couple of years ago...but would not feel comfortable doing it now. Then...she told us all about the umbilical cord and some of the things they are going to do once we deliver (i wasn't too interested in this part, because this saturday we have the tour of the maternity ward....etc....and they should go over that kind of stuff then). We went over some usual safety stuff (changing diapers, cleaning umbilical cord, circumsized penis care)....etc. Then we watched a video about mommy and baby care....which was good....but a little bit long....

THEN.... somebody from healthy start came to talk to us about SIDS and other sleep-related infant death stuff. Now that was new and a shock to me.... APPARENTLY there are a lot of things about SIDS that i didn't know. They recommend that a baby sleep with a pacifier. That when the baby sleeps you DO NOT have ANYTHING inside the crib at all (no bumpers, no toys, no comforters, no NOTHING). All you should have is the fitted crib sheet, the baby....and if you wish....a blanket over the baby...BUT it has to be tucked in. And NEVER EVER put the baby on it's side or stomach. AND do not use those positioning pillows, because most of the time the baby will move slightly and he will shift and that could be a potential hazard. Well....the people from healthy start are affiliated with The Association of Pediatrics....so you bet i'm going to trust them!!! So needless to say....i took off the positioning pillow from my registry....then....the bedding set....took that off too. I would much rather be worry free about SIDS than having a pretty bedding set up in the nursery. So...i took it off the registry...Added more fitted sheets, and will do more with decorations instead of the comforter or the crib bumper...

Ok...so AFTER that we had another speaker, this one talked about all about car seat safety. A lot of stuff i didn't know about either. PLUS she gave us a voucher to get a convertible car seat (regular price is about 80 dollars)...but with this voucher you'll get it for 20 bucks!! :) now that's a deal!! ;)

Then AFTER that...we watched one last video...it was from Dr. Kamp called "The Happiest Baby on the block".... i swear this man is a genius....i can't even explain the way he would get these babies to calm down...I recommend all mommy's use his advice....it seems like it helps. And i will be posting my findings once i use his method. Really briefly...basically he says we need to mimic womb conditions....you really should go to his site....

So needless to say i was satisfied with the class!!!! Next up is my childbirth preparedness class this saturday!!! :)

Ok....on to MORE news....I mentioned in an earlier entry that we bought a townhouse that was being built.....SO... last friday we had our final walk-through...and this thursday we are closing!!!! Which means we will shortly have our new townhouse and i can start setting up the nursery!! YAY!!! :) ALSO my parents and possibly my aunt and uncle are coming to visit me this coming weekend...to help us move a bit....BUT i'm just really excited to see them!!! I've been aching to see them lately!!! so ... i'm really excited...

Ok...in mommy/baby news....

I'm almost 35 weeks....i can't even believe it!! It's really surreal. I think i had a contraction yesterday....it felt like a cramp but it went from my back to my stomach...i only had one...so i think i'm good ;) ALSO i've started to feel pressure in my pelvic area...and i mentioned it to my mom and she says "ohh yeah...you'll feel him pushing on you.....that's exactly how i felt when you were in there towards the end...".... WHICH by the way...make me wanna go pee....and it's sooo frustrating...because i'll feel like i have to explosively pee BUT when i actually get to pee...then almost NOTHING comes out...uggh.

I'm also back to morning sickness.... certain days i cannot hold my breakfast down....yuck today i pucked it all out....it was disgusting....

And Little Tomas Jay likes to kick me EXTREMELY hard...and it sways my stomach from left to right ;)

In other news...I did get my rings off! :) On friday i noticed my fingers were less swollen, so i took a chance and poof...they came off!!! They haven't been swollen since then....ditto on my feet...so we are good!!! :)

Ok...i think i'm done for now.... i think... lol
