Back to Johnson City Today I went back to Johnson City to see Dr. Thatcher. I was a little scared that I would get bad news today, but everything was fine. When he did the scan I could see the baby, but no heart beat. My heart sunk. I just knew I was going to get bad news, he moved the probe and there was the heart beat. It was the most wonderful feeling ever. I could not believe how much the baby had grown in just a couple of weeks. Brad and I are very excited everything is going well. We close on our new house in a couple of weeks so we will have time to settle and enjoy it and Devon before the little on gets here. I can't wait, but I am enjoying each day of it.
2007-12-10 (6 weeks)
This past week.... We just found out this past Friday that I am pregnant. It is so amazing, I think that Brad and I really thought that this day would never come. It's been a long year and 6 months. We found out in October that I have PCOS which causes infertility problems. My RI doctor put me on Metformin and told me to see what this did. The medicine was hard to take b/c it made me sick a lot, but it work I guess. We are approx 6 weeks along, and are due August 4, 2008. I go back in one week to have a second apt with my RI doctor and then he will turn me back over to my midwife. I will no longer have to make that 1 1/2 hour drive to Johnson City, TN. We are a little scared, we sold our house back in August so we could move closer to Boone. Now we are living with Brad's grandparents and we are really trying to find some land or a house to buy. God has a plan for us and in time we will see it.
On the other hand Devon is so excited about the baby. I feel bad that there will be 9 years between them, but I know that its all a part of God's plan. Devon is excited about getting to tell everyone at Christmas. I ordered him a shirt today online, he will be able to ware it on Christmas to let everyone know. Devon has also started tell dad and I names that he likes.
