2008-04-03 (19 weeks)

On vacation!!!!

So I am finally on vacation!!!! We left Atlanta a little late yesterday but got here to Destin in good time....I drove a lot of the way and should not have...it felt like my lower half was asleep!!! I see why all the books say to make sure and stop to walk around every couple hours. I only walked around once and by the time we got here I didn't want to sit down for a while...lol. The weather yesterday was really pretty but it is a little overcast today, but there is plenty to o other than going to the beach...like SHOPPING!!! I peeped out the outlets yesterday on our way in and to my utter surprise there was a children's place, motherhood maternity, osh-kosh and baby gap outlet!!! I am going to go Aiden crazy when I get over there...i am sure BD will freak, but be excited about 10 minutes after he sees everything I get.

I slept horribly last night. Didn't have enough pillows and the ones that I did have were not hard enough...so of course I woke up on my back like twice...it freaks me out every time that happens. But Aiden was moving a lot last night and this morning when I did the BabyPlus lession. I kinda like this BabyPlus thing because it reassures me that he is alright in there...because as soon as I turn it on he starts doing his stunts...lol.

So now we are just relaxing in the hotel room and it is fabulous. It feels good not to have anything that I HAVE to get done. My Best friend Jewel is going through some trying times at work. I really want to try and get up to Boston some time this month...I know that BD is going to freak out about me flying in my 5th month...but I am only in my 5th month!!! I will ask the doctor on Monday if he thinks it is okay for me to fly so BD can be reassured. I think that Jewel needs a face to face pep talk...I have given her a few on the phone but I can feel how stressed she is through the phone...so I am worried. I will figure something out.

Well I am going to get back to relaxing and probably go to the movies or the outlets. I had a great breakfast and could actually take a nap...which I might just do. Oh...i will be 20 weeks in two days...half way to the finish line!!!! YAY!!!!!

Oh...I forgot to attach a photo that BD took yesterday. This marks 19 weeks and only 1 week to go until I am half way to the finish line. When BD's mother responded to the email I sent with the pictures attached she said, "Damn chile you are pregnant for real!!!" Ya think!!! I was cracking up when I read her response. Especially since I am going to still get bigger than I am now!!!

Oh and of course I am wearing one of my many pair of FAVORITE Victoria's Secret pink pants...boyfriend fit!!! Note to all of you pregnant and postpartum mommies....BUY AS MANY PAIR AS YOU CAN AFFORD!!! They are the MOST comfortable items in my wardrobe right now and I wear a pair everyday when I get home. Oh darn one more thing (I seem to remember something each time I am about to click submit. BD and I FINALLY found a bedding set that we both LOVE. I got the site from the Hot Moms Club. it is www.skiphop.com. They have really cute diaper bags and stuff too. That's all for now!!!

BabyPlus...
So BD and I went to a play today...and it was really good. His best friends cousin was in it and well worth the $25 per ticket. Then we went to pick up my tiffany's bracelet that I got for my birthday and had to drop off to get the charm attached. THEN we went to return some shorts that I got two pair of on accident. While at the mall we picked up the BabyPlus system. BD did some research and found that he wanted to get this for Baby Aiden. I guess it plays a pattern of heartbeats that is suppose to encourage early learning. We will see if we like it. I have to strap this thing to my stomach twice a day for an hour each time. So look for my review of it in a later blog.

One thing that I am very excited about is my younger brother arriving here on Monday night. We are going on vacation on Wednesday and that is WAY overdue. I need a tan in the worst kind of way. It should be fun because we are going to Destin, Florida and staying right on the beach. And about 1 mile from the LARGEST outlet center in the country!!!! God forbid if they have a children's clothing store or maternity outlet!!!

Other than that I have had an uneventful week and weekend. I have to go into the office for a meeting tomorrow afternoon and that is nothing to look forward to...I hope that it does not last longer than 2 hours. You know how long winded doctors can be...lol. Have a great rest of the weekend!!!!

Cake Tasting...
    Okay...I don't know how I forgot to mention this in a previous entry by mom and I went for the cake tasting last week. And I have to tell you that it is the BEST cake ever!!!!! I am going to have a butter pound with butter cream icing. I mean you can TASTE the butter in the icing...how yummy is that. It was so good that mom and I got some cupcakes to eat later. none of the 4 lasted thru the night...lol.

    THEN for my moms birthday I ordered her cake from the same place. Because SHE loved it so much (and kind because I wanted some more too...but no one needs to know that). She was so surprised and excited. The cake was a hit...there was NONE left. Especially after I took two big pieces home (because I was too full off anything else to eat my piece). So yesterday when I have a sweet tooth I popped a slice in the microwave for about 20 seconds and enjoyed a little piece of heaven...lol. Then BD calls me today at work and asks me if I was going to eat the other piece of cake...of COURSE I would have eaten it, but I told him to go ahead. She said he didn't want it to go bad...lol...yeah yeah.

    I know that BD is going to walk in the bedroom any minute and be irritated that I am on the computer still after I just told him that I have an early morning...and he already told me to go to bed. So let me get off this thing and try and get some sleep.
