INVITATIONS!!!!!!
Okay...so I just got to see my invitations for the first time today when Kimmy and her husband George came by the house this afternoon. They are FABULOUS!!!!! I can not put into words how beautiful they are...I mean I would have never imagined that they would be as nice as they are. I thought that the invitation was going to be like a one page invite. Well Kimmy went way beyond a one page invite...I wish I could show it in a picture...I will be sure to post pictures of the invite later. The colors were perfect, she had the dot theme on them that the nursery will have, and the fonts were perfect. So perfect that we decided to mimic how she had Aiden's full name laid out on the invite on his nursery wall. The theme she came up with for the shower is welcoming Prince Aiden!!!!! So cute!!! I just cant say enough about these invites. Kim is so talented. So all you mommies to be out there...if you are looking for one of a kind baby shower invites, shower favors, or announcements PLEASE visit www.expressionsofpurpose.com...(you will be more than satisfied).  All I gave Kim was the colors that I wanted and she made the most perfect invites.

Other than that perfect end of my weekend nothing to exciting to report. Aiden is very active in my stomach...and I am now 23 weeks. I made the appt for the 3D ultrasound this week. We are going to go and do it a couple days before the baby shower. I am going to try and keep myself as busy as possible from now until the shower because I just cant wait for it to get there. I hope that my mom gets it together so the shower actually happens. She is super busy with the 500 things that she always has going on at once (she likes it that way), but this is my first baby and I want for everything to be perfect. I just feel like she is on her own time sometimes and does not take help when it is offered. Maybe this is why mothers don't traditionally plan the showers...just pay for them...lol.  I mean this is what Kim does...event planning and invitations. I don't know how much faith my mom has had in Kim and that is unfortunate....for my mom.

Well I have a headache...probably from those delicious cupcakes...lol. I ate one today and I think that I have a sugar headache. I tried to lay down but could not fall asleep. Until next time.

Allergies!!!!! UGH
So i live in Atlanta...and anyone that knows about Atlanta knows one of two things. Either it is hot as heck here (hence the nickname HOTLanta) and that pollen season is record breaking here. Well it is that time a year again people...and the pollen count is off the scales!!!!!

Now I have year round allergies and the biggest culprit is dust, but pollen season brings on a whole new set of side effects. My eyes are heavy, I am super sleepy, I am congested and I am sneezing ALL the time. And of course since i am pregnant the only medication proven to not effect the baby is Benadryl...and that makes me even MORE sleepy.  NOT GOOD!!!! I mean I have barely left the house this week...and stupid me I went to my mothers house on Monday (POLLEN CENTRAL OVER THERE) and started my week off with a bang. Didn't leave the house AT ALL on Tuesday because I was so congested and drowsy. And have kept my visitation to the great outdoors at a minimum since then. This sucks.

On a lighter note Kimmy and her husband George will be coming to Atlanta this weekend. They are moving to Atlanta...well he is moving first then she will come later. I am excited to see her...and just as excited if not more (sorry Kimmy) to see the invitations. I think that she is going to mail them out before she leaves. I just can't wait!!!!  Oh and as a special treat for her I am going to go and pick up some cupcakes from the lady that is making the baby shower cake so she can taste...yummy!!! (and I want a couple for myself!!!)

Aiden has now become a night owl, so he sleeps most of the day and then is up most of the night. BAD SIGN. I thought that he was going to be a good baby and sleep at night. Hopefully he gets it together before he arrives. BD watched this video today on yahoo that said that a child needs to hear between 17,000-24,000 words a day from birth to age three or they will be behind!!!! AND they have a machine that will count how many words you say to them...you know BD is all over that but I think that is a little extreme. I mean I plan to read to him and talk to him as much as possible, but to count the number of words. I think that is a little obsessive. There have been plenty of children whose parents didn't count the number of words that they spoke to their child and they have become productive adults. Technology sometimes just goes too far.

I have to find a baby monitor to put on the registry. I think that is the only major item that is missing from the registry. I don't think that we need one that has a camera on it, but I just have to do some research to find out which have the best reviews.  Right now it feels like someone is pulling my eyelids down and I am fighting them...so I am going to submit to the sleep Gods and go to bed. Until next time...

22 Weeks!!!!!
Man it seems like time is just flying by. Soon I will be 28 weeks then the baby shower will be here...then Aiden will be here!!!!!  I confirmed my maternity photo shoot today for the week after my baby shower. I am really excited about that. We will do the shoot at my moms house because she has so much natural light. It is going to be fabulous...then we will do Aiden's newborn photos when he is about 3 weeks old here in our house.

We went to a play today at the Fox Theater here in Atlanta...a Tyler Perry play called "The Marriage Counselor". I enjoyed it very much...it was hilarious with a great message. Some things that stood out to me in the play is how men tend to neglect their women and not even realize it, that men don't really LISTEN to their women and they definately DO NOT know how to say I am Sorry. BD has that last problem really bad. Communication is not his strong suit...nor is listening really. Oh well...

Anyhoo...back to the play. It was great. And every time someone started singing in the play Aiden started moving A LOT. I guess he could hear them loud and clear. I bet he is going to end up having my wolf like hearing...lol.  It was a beautiful day here as well so that made it better. I prefer going to plays and movies during the day time...don't like the evening crowds. When I got home I was REALLY hungry so I ate a snack and took a nap. When I woke up I felt like I had gotten bigger. I know that sounds crazy but I really feel like I got bigger.

A couple things that I have noticed about my new body. First, it is REALLY hard to bend over to get things...my stomach just gets in the way. I then kinda feel like I am squishing Aiden when I do bend over. And second...my belly button is disappearing!!!! It is getting flatter and flatter. Soon it will be aligned with the rest of my stomach.

I am still very much enjoying my pillow and look forward to going to bed every night. So I am going to go to bed now and get some rest...nighty night....

Bedding and Dinner review...update
As I stated in previous  posts...I tend to forget about things when i am writing and always remember after the fact. So here are two things that I forgot to mention.

First...the bedding that we both liked...got vetoed...lol. Aiden's bedroom is green and I wanted to figure out how to bring some blue into the room. AND I didn't really want boring bedding. So the bedding from Skip Hop was not going to work...there was just TOO much white in the bedding. So a couple nights ago I was talking with my fabulous gay designer friend (watch out for him on project runway this year!!!!) and he told me to tell him what I wanted him to buy for the baby and he said the bedding. After I showed it to him and looked at it again myself I though...damn that looks boring!!!! So I began my hunt for modern boy bedding...AGAIN!!! And I struck gold!!!!!! I love the idea of stenciling dots in various sizes on the wall that Aiden's bed is going on so I wanted something with dots or bubbles on it. Well day before yesterday I found the perfect bedding...and I have attached it to this entry. There is a place online called Nursery Depot that carries every kind of nursery bedding you could think of...by every maker. So I am happy about that. I also found the stencil for the dots on the wall...I was having a great day huh!!!! So I am relieved that all that is taken care of.

Second, on Saturday BD's Grandmother and sister came in town. His grandmother is the best and when I am around her I miss my own grandmother (and grandfather) even more. I wish that she was here to see who I have become and to meet the little man that we will welcome into the world this summer.  But I will be carrying my grandfather's middle name on with Aiden so that is giving me comfort. Anyhoo...back to the visit. So we went over to BD's fathers house before dinner. Everyone was shocked at the fact that I have a stomach...and I don't know why.I AM PREGNANT!!!  i was bound to have one at some point...lol.  His grandmother was so cute though...she said that she didn't think that us having a baby was real until she saw me because of my belly!!! How cute is that!!!  I know that she has been wanting a great grandchild for a while now so she is over the moon (even though it is not a girl...lol) I was hoping that Aiden would go into one of his aerobic fits while I was around her so she could feel him move but he was moving the most while I was eating and she was at the other end of the table.

So for dinner we went to this place called Redfish. And as soon as I heard the name of the place we were going to I was depressed...I have not been able to eat fish since becoming pregnant!!!! When we got there I was made aware that it was a creole type eatery which go me really excited because I LOVE ettoufee. Well theirs was NASTY!!! The rue was almost black!!!!! I had to send it back...but I did have some of the best red beans and rice I had ever eaten. All in all it was a good dinner and I was super happy to see his grandmother and sister (who has lost quite a bit of weight and is looking HOT!!!!!). His sister is probably 4ft 10in with shoes on and was bottom heavy. Well when she got out of his cousins car she was no longer bottom heavy...and it looked good on her...I mean her ideal BMI body weight is probably between 90-95lbs. But she is all upset because she is under 100 pounds. SHE IS SUPPOSE TO BE!!!!!! Either way...I think that she looks great and she should have a MUCH easier time finding clothes that fit her now.

Okay...I think that I have remembered everything...but if not...I will remember in about 20 minutes and just ass it to my next entry.
